San Francisco's $225 Million Park Is Almost Ready!

In this video, Austin Klar reports that San Francisco is nearing completion of its most expensive city‑owned park ever, a $225 million redevelopment of a former boatyard and brownfield in Bayview‑Hunters Point. The site, located on the Indian Basin shoreline, required extensive remediation of decades‑long pollution, which accounts for much of the high cost. Klar outlines the three‑phase plan: Phase 1 involved environmental cleanup; Phase 2 built a 2.5‑acre waterfront park with three new structures—a maker shop, food pavilion, and maintenance facility—plus piers, viewing decks, a dock, landscaping, and a new segment of the Bay Trail; Phase 3, which broke ground in August, will add another 7.5 acres, completing a total of 10 acres with cookout terraces, fitness areas, basketball courts, lawns, a boathouse, beachfront, and a bike path. He invites viewers to comment and follow for more Bay Area real‑estate updates.
