San Francisco's BRAND NEW Music Week Announced for 2025

In this YouTube monologue, Austin Klar announces San Francisco's inaugural Music Week, scheduled for February 24 – March 2, 2025. The city, led by Mayor Daniel Lurie, is launching the initiative to support local music and arts, aid the post‑pandemic economic recovery, and build on the success of recent downtown First Thursday events and free concerts. The program is a partnership between the city, SF Live, and indie promoter Noisepop, featuring studio sessions, masterclasses, panels, workshops, and live performances that run alongside the Noisepop Festival. An industry summit is set for February 28 at the Swedish American Hall, with the CEO and founder of Bay Area independent record distributor Empire as the keynote speaker. Klar expresses enthusiasm for the addition to the city’s events lineup and invites viewer comments.
