Ultimate Pacific Heights park battle right here. I want to know which one's your favorite and why. Alta Plaza Park versus Lafayette Park. Both of them are either like terraced or hillside parks with incredible views of the city and some of San Francisco's most iconic architecture. But which one is better? In my view, Alta Plaza Park. Both have tennis courts, but Alta Plaza also has a basketball court. I also think Alta Plaza has better views because there are more mid-rise and high-rise buildings surrounding Lafayette Park compared to Alta Plaza Park, so they block some of the views. The streets surrounding Alta Plaza are also substantially less busy. Scott. Steiner, Jackson, and Clay on the western stretch of the neighborhood versus Gough, Laguna, and the busier portion of Sacramento Street. It's just more peaceful at Alta Plaza Park. I also love the architecture around Alta Plaza more. A lot of quintessential Victorians. I will say there are some A++ buildings around Lafayette Park, two iconic SF co-op buildings at 2000 and 2006 Washington Street. Plus you have Spreckels Mansion, which is like truly insane. Can't really go wrong with either. This is just my preference. Let me know which one's your favorite in the comments.
