Looks like the most anticipated reopening of the year in San Francisco has been delayed until next year. Citing infrastructure issues with renovations, new operators at the iconic Cliff House announced that the initial food and beverage components of the building aren't going to open by this fall's deadline set in the agreement that they signed with the National Park Service. The operators are saying that major upgrades are needed to the tune of about $10 million, things like the building's waterproofing, HVAC, electrical, and roof that were all not foreseen when they implemented that initial timeline. And all that has to be done and another few million spent for the build-out of new dining and kitchen space. So unfortunately for residents and visitors, that means that the Cliff House won't be returning until at least next year instead of this year. I'm still looking forward to the reopening and will keep you updated of any changes, so make sure you follow along for more information.
