San Francisco's music scene is about to get even better. Local record label Empire, which recently acquired the historic One Montgomery building in the Financial District, just proposed a concert venue on the rooftop of the historic bank building. Prior owners of the 1908 building had plans to convert it into creative office space, but the pandemic put a wrench in those plans. They eventually turned the building over to their lenders before it was sold to Empire. This is really exciting news and would be a welcome addition to all of the outdoor festivals and pop-up events happening throughout San Francisco right now, from downtown First Thursdays and all the entertainment zones and retail pop-ups, free concerts and movies. There are so many events happening in San Francisco right now, bringing new people to the city and bolstering local businesses. Really looking forward to seeing these plans come to fruition.
