A developer's making a bold move into San Francisco's real estate scene with a brand new hotel proposed on Market Street. Frontier Group has applied to demolish a 2-story retail center on Market Street and replace it with a 29-story, 300-foot-tall, 200-room hotel. Current plans for 570 Market Street call for 123,000 square feet of hotel space plus 3,400 square feet of ground floor retail. There's also plans for an over 3,500-square-foot landscaped lounge and bar on the 15th floor, as well as a fitness center and yoga studio. Danny Forster in architecture is helming the project design, and it's been in the works for several years after the site was purchased in 2018 for $14.5 million. I'm excited to see more new hotels pop up in the area and hope these plans move forward. Let me know what you think in the comments and follow me for more Bay Area real estate.
