A much-needed overhaul is underway at a Potrero Hill park, and the proposal looks awesome. Jackson Playground is a 5-acre park built over 100 years ago, and plans have been in motion since 2014 with Jackson Lyles Architecture and Fletcher Studio to give it a complete overhaul and make it one of the best new parks in the city. Plans include a new playground, new gardens, new multipurpose sport court, new dog play area, and relocating and expanding an existing clubhouse and creating a new stage, kitchen, and event space there. The project is expected to cost tens of millions of dollars, and assuming construction funding actually comes comes in, construction won't actually start till 2027 and complete till 2029.
