Austin Klar sold a 2,400-square-foot Tiburon home for $400,000 below asking after three months on the market. The 2007 house has unobstructed Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco views through floor-to-ceiling glass doors, but needed updates. Six rounds of negotiation got the deal done.

The Marin County housing market is brutally competitive right now, but there are still more opportunities today than there were even earlier this year, and this house in Tiburon is a prime example. This 2,400-square-foot house in Tiburon came on the market about 3 months ago. It was a bit dated. The last renovation was in like '07, '08, so not like super old, but could definitely use a refresh. The real selling points of the house were the incredible views from every room, all the way from the Golden Gate Bridge across San Francisco, Angel Island, and all of that was made even better by these sliding glass doors span the entire eastern side of the property and that massive deck outside with enough space for lounging and outdoor dining. After weeks of diligence, multiple trips to the property with contractors, and 6 rounds of back and forth with the listing agent, we were able to get into contract at $400,000 under ask. Super happy for my client and looking forward to seeing what renovation she does to the property. Follow me for more Bay Area real estate.
