The beloved Palmer's Restaurant and Cocktail Bar on Fillmore Street closed during the pandemic, not because a lack of traffic, but because a water line in one of the units above the space broke, causing a ton of damage in the space. As part of the repair process, the building's plumbing had to be brought to code, new restrooms had to be built in ADA compliance, and a bunch of the finishes had to be restored because of the damage.
