Larkspur City Council recently approved plans for a new library, and the plans look pretty sweet. The new 6,845-square-foot library is supposed to replace a vacant 2.5-acre lot off Rose Lane, and it's supposed to feature a 1,650-square-foot community center with new public areas and parking. Noel and Tam Architects are handling the design, which is gonna be a lot more modern than what's currently in downtown. It's gonna have redwood siding, metal roof, floor-to-ceiling glass windows surrounding all the meeting spaces and study rooms and event spaces, and it's gonna come at a pretty hefty price. Estimated cost right now is around $16 million. Construction is expected to start sometime next year and wrap in 2026. Follow me for more Bay Area real estate.
