Whether you're a tourist or a local, this is one of the coolest ways to explore San Francisco. They're called City Guides. They're a nonprofit organization established in 1978. It's a group of volunteers that know literally everything about various neighborhoods and arts, culture, and local history of San Francisco. They do walking tours through different neighborhoods of the city. There are 75 different walking tours available from like Billionaires Row in Pacific Heights through the Castro, the Mission. They even have ones showing like places in San Francisco that were featured in Hollywood films. Technically the walks are free. Most of their budget though comes from donations, so if you do go on one, definitely donate. Each one is probably like 90 minutes to 2 hours, and they offer a ton. You can see all the different ones they offer on their website, which I've linked in the caption below. Follow me for more Bay Area activities. Bye!
