A powerhouse chef team is opening a brand new Mexican restaurant in Presidio Heights, and I can't wait to check it out. The masterminds behind renowned Mediterranean restaurant Dolita are opening an upscale Mexican restaurant at 500 Presidio Avenue in February of 2026 called Maria Isabel. Named after Chef Lara's sister and mother, Maria Isabel will seat upwards of 60 people and highlight food and wines that are not often used in Mexican restaurants in the United States.
