Jackson Square is getting one of the most exciting new buildings San Francisco has seen in years, and I can't wait to see it built. Related California, the California arm of one of the biggest real estate developers in the world, is creating an over 500-foot-tall lifestyle office tower combined with a 5-star hotel, and it's gonna have some insane amenity spaces. In line with what we've seen at other successful office developments, the focus is on creating first-class hospitality experiences. This one's gonna have brand new dining space, wellness and fitness center, a skyview bar and lounge area, as well as private dining and event space. And the best amenity of all is the location next to so many A+ restaurants, really close to the waterfront and some incredible retail spaces. Couldn't think of a better spot to do it, but it is a massive undertaking and it's a huge bet on the continued rise and comeback of San Francisco's tourism and convention market as well as office. Skidmore Owings and Merrill is the architect, and even though construction isn't anticipated to be complete and occupants welcome to the building until until around 2030, CBRE has already started marketing the project.
