Chapters
A brand new 24-acre park just opened at a naval station turned multi-billion-dollar mixed-use community, and the views from here are unlike any other views from a park in the Bay Area. Cityside Waterfront Park sits along the western edge of Treasure Island as part of the 180-acre redevelopment that will transform the formal naval base into a brand new community with approximately 8,000 new homes. The park is one of the island's most impressive amenities, spanning 300 feet wide from the shore to Cityside Avenue and about 3/4 of a mile in length. CMG developed the design for the park as well as streetscape for the entire island. Part of the park's design includes event lawns, plaza, native habitats, landforms, and overlooks with unobstructed views spanning from bridge to bridge all the way across the San Francisco Bay. There is so much happening on Treasure Island right now. New condos, new apartments, new waterfront parks, and so much coming that will turn this into one of the most vibrant communities in San Francisco. Let me know what you think of the new park in the comments and follow me for more Bay Area real estate. Bye!
