Something incredibly rare is coming to the most expensive neighborhood in San Francisco, new construction apartments. Work is finally underway on a mixed-use site on Sacramento Street in Presidio Heights that was previously purchased in '07 for $8.5 million. Once completed, the project will bring a brand new 40-foot-tall structure comprising 67,000 square feet of a mix of housing, office, and retail, plus a basement big enough for 50 cars and 49 bikes. The top 2 floors of the building will be the residential floors comprised of 18 units, 12 2-bedrooms, 6 1-bedrooms, and each will have a glass railing balcony either overlooking Sacramento Street or a shared courtyard. Gary G Architects is helming the design, and if it looks anything like the renderings, it'll be a welcome addition to one of my favorite streets in San Francisco. Great interior design and home goods stores, incredible food, and amazing walkability, some great parks. Let me know what you think in the comments and follow me for more Bay Area real estate. Bye.
