Plans for a massive floating pool and housing development in between San Francisco's Pier 30 and 32 might actually be getting some traction. Entitlement process is expected to kick off with the public hearing next month, even though there are reports of a funding gap of about $125 million for the project. Original plans for the development called for an 850-unit residential tower, but have since been changed to a 713-unit tower that would stand 230 feet. All in with the building and infrastructure work, the project is estimated to come in at well north of a billion dollars. Current estimates, $1.2 billion. There's a lot that has to happen between now and getting this thing shovel ready and the is probably gonna change a dozen times throughout the planning process, but at least it's moving forward for now. I don't know about you, but I'd probably go swimming in this thing. Let me know what you think in the comments.
