3 BIG ANNOUNCEMENTS!

Brendon Burchard announces three updates: Transformation Week, a free seven-day online challenge; his move to Puerto Rico with his wife Denise; and the launch of HPX Life, their new lifestyle brand.
Hey, my friends, it's Brendan. And this is not your typical episode of the Brendon show, so I apologize in advance because I don't know what the sound is gonna be like. But I have some big announcements and I wanted to get them to you first thing in the morning. So I hope you'll bear with me. That's three huge announcements over here that I thought I'd do this special episode for. So welcome to a very unique but important episode of the Brendan Show. I can say right off the bat, if you saw me right now, you would definitely laugh. I'm tucked away in a corner of my house. I have no idea how this is going to sound. I've drug a little sound wall from my. My main office over to a little corner of our house where we have a drape. And I've kind of got the sound wall and the drape, like, triangulated around me to hopefully capture the noise. It's a little bit of a janky setup right now because my house is a complete mess. My office is a complete mess. And there's a reason for that. And there's a reason I'm not recording this in my office. One, I'm recording this right now. It's a little after 11:30pm on December 27, 2018, and that's important for a couple of reasons, as I'll tell you. And two, so my office is closed, and the reason the house and the office is a mess is because we're moving. I'm moving. I mean, like, Denise and I are moving cities. Like, we're moving out of the town we are in right now, and it's a big deal. And it's one of the announcements I have to make today on the Brennan show is where we're moving. But let's start at the beginning. Three big announcements today. One is kind of a funny one. You know, I went on live on Instagram live today, and I wish I usually. If you've not been with me, if you ever see my Instagram live little oval up there and it says live, please click it and watch it. Because they're pretty funny. I usually like to start with some observation about funny human behavior. And it might be just the way we react in traffic or it might be the way that we talk to somebody even though we need them, we are, you know, not nice to them. Or it might be how we get Christmas gifts sometimes, and it's something we so wanted, and three days later, we've completely forgotten about it. Just funny observations about human behavior. But today's Instagram Live. I started with a little, a little bit different. I started with the conversation about how funny things tend to happen in life just when things are getting really important. And today was a perfect example of that. I don't know if you saw it today, I launched Transformation Week. It's a new seven day online personal development challenge we're doing. And I basically spent, you know, I spent a lot of my holiday getting ready for this thing, building the web pages, building the opt in page, building, you know, the process of the challenge itself, building out the curriculum, you know, doing everything online, getting images ready for it. You know, from photography to finding old images. We had. It was a lot of work to launch it today. And last night at like 2am I finished and when I finished, and a lot of times at the end of my workday, I'll write down everything that I have to do the next morning, like where I have to pick up things. So I had this little list of things I was going to do to complete the launch of Transformation Week and then like announce it across all our social media channels. And so it was a big morning today. But of course I got up, you know, I barely slept, maybe five hours of sleep. And if you know me, I'm the guy who's always talking about sleep. So I had to go down. I went, I went down to a local coffee shop, got a coffee, came back, yes, I admit, I had some coffee this morning, and I had some coffee turned up, you know, fired up the computer, got my list out, looked at what I had to do, ready to go, right? Ready to deliver excellence to y'. All. And the Internet was down and it was like, you've got to be kidding me. And if it was like, no. And of course, I think it's my house. So I'm like running around rebooting, you know, routers and trying different things. And is it working on the phone? Is it working on the iPad? Is it working on what's, what's happening here? Trying. If you've ever had. It's funny, right? If you've ever had an important thing happening and now you find yourself running around to try and figure out the Internet, you're inflamed with anger. I don't know about you, but I was like freaking out. And I always say, hey, it's okay to have a freak out as long as you don't quit. So it turned out that a huge outage had happened nationwide last night with one of the carriers we use for my home office and it was like, oh my gosh. So I had to get dressed. I had not planned on that part to go down. Well, I wasn't naked, but I had to get, you know, work dressed. I to go down to the office and do the launch for Transformation Week today. So quick announcement on that one. Transformation week is a seven day online personal development challenge. It runs January 1st through 7th. It is free for everybody listening. Just go to transformation week.com, that's transformationweek.com and you'll be redirected to the site where you can register for the free version of it. Where I'll go seven days for you all, every day, January 1st through the 7th to help you set your New Year's goals, but most importantly, to develop the self discipline and the new habits, tools and strategies that you'll really need to actually achieve your goals faster in 2019. It's called transformation Week. We just launched it. I hope you'll go check it out if for anything, something related to another announcement I'll make in a second because when you go to Transformation Week, you will see a beautiful picture of me and my wife, which I really love, taken out by where I usually write books this time of year. And I hope you check it out because Denise is going to be involved in part of this new brand as I'll be talking about in a few minutes. So first announcement I guess is really, we launched Transformation Week and if you've ever, you know, built your own webpages or written your own email, copy or developed your own ads or shot your own photography, if you're in the entrepreneur, influencer space, thought leader space, what we call the expert space, you know how difficult process that is, how much thought it takes and so to have the Internet go out, yeah, that was awesome. But we got it up and running and I'm super pumped and very thrilled by the participation already just from our social media channels today. So thank you all for that. Again, go to transformationweek.com or click the link in my Instagram bio. They'll both take you over to the page where you guys can register for free. I'm letting my audience register for free this year. If you guys didn't know for the last decade, for 10 years. So think about this. Since 2009, I have gone live every year on January 1st. And these are fully produced live productions that I've done in the past. I mean, real deal, super fancy, you know, cameras and lights and, and I would go live for like four hours at a time. Sometimes we charge people, sometimes it's free for a certain part of my community. But. But it was usually four hours of me doing New Year's training, helping people develop more strategic goals. It was a lot of work. And the reason I tell you that background is a. I'm really proud of that. I think we really brought, you know, a lot of pioneering personal development stuff to the world, including that big New Year's personal development promotion in terms of live promotions. But also, I tell you that almost as part of an apology and to give some background to Transformation Week, because this involves announcement number two. So number one was Transformation Week is launched, y'. All. Number two is it also launched because we're moving. Denise and I are moving cities and. And we're taking the cat. Don't worry, the cat's coming along. But we are moving and it's a big deal. And I'm going to announce right here on the podcast for the first time where that is and why and what's going on. But a little context for why Transformation Week is the first announcement is because where we're moving and how we're moving. I didn't know if we're going to be able to have live capabilities. I mean, live broadcast capabilities. Of course I can go live on my phone, but I didn't know if I would have a studio set up at the time. I didn't know if I would have, you know, a team set up at the time where we're going. So it was like, okay, I better hedge my bets. So I develop this Transformation Week training. It will roll out automatically to you January 1st through 7th. I'll be in a private Facebook group going live on my phone, but it won't be fully produced live. It'll just be me on my phone in a private Facebook group, which, again, you can sign up for@transformation week.com. so that's why we did Transformation Week. That's the background to it. And now talking about the move, the move is something that I can't explain how excited about I am and what a lifelong journey and dream it's been. A little context. Many of you know that I had a car accident when I was 19 years old, and that car accident happened in the Dominican Republic. And on that particular trip when I was 19, it was my first introduction to the Caribbean, and I fell in love with it. I mean, I loved the Caribbean. I was so enamored with the sand and the sun and the people and just the simplicity of life that was there from where I was at the time. And the. Just the Joyous nature, the free spirit, the weather, just, it's something I felt alive there like I never felt before, before the accident and after the accident. And I just always thought, you know, I love the Caribbean, someday I'd like to live here. And so that's always been in the back of my mind. And what ended up happening this last couple years was we did several trips to Puerto Rico and I fell in love with it. And I did, I did the trip before everyone. As soon as I ever mentioned Puerto Rico, like Puerto Rico wasn't there just a hurricane? I'm like, yeah, a huge hurricane. That was 100 year hurricane. I mean, the last hurricane in Puerto Rico I think was like 20 years ago. Okay, this one was a monster one, made all the headlines. And the island is still recovering, especially in the rural parts of Puerto Rico. But I'd gone down there a couple of times over the last couple of years for business. And as a matter of fact, if you didn't know it, the my last 10 days of writing High Performance Habits was in Puerto Rico. It's. I went to a resort down there and finished the book. And I fell in love with the people, the culture, the adventure of it all. I was on the Atlantic side of the island, but got to venture into the Caribbean side. And I just thought this is absolutely amazing. And a couple of things that really struck me about it. One, I, of course I knew Puerto Rico as a US territory. I didn't realize all the politics around that at the time. I certainly didn't realize a lot of the politics and how it would affect it after the hurricane. But something that really surprised me when I went down for the first time was, oh, I mean, you get out that you, you get there, it's like this really nice airport. You get out of the airport, you go on the road, you're like, oh, these roads are just like the roads in the continental US because of course there's federal highway funding and you know, you pay in dollars. And I know this sounds completely stupid, but I'm sharing to you. I was surprised how cool Puerto Rico was, but how easy that transition was versus going to other Caribbean places. You know, I've been, I've been to almost every island in the Caribbean now in my life. And you know, travel internationally, wherever you go can be difficult. I didn't even need a passport to go to Puerto Rico at the time. I just literally, US driver's license is no problem because again, it's US territory and you know, no money exchange, blah, blah, blah. So I Just, I kind of fell in love with it. Kind of put in the back of my mind, like, I need to bring Denise here one time. Finished high performance habits down there. The hurricane happened. Went back afterwards on a speech tour and was really impacted by how, you know, places that we love and people that we admire were really impacted by it. And I just thought, you know, I could help down here. And one reason I knew that is because I'm kind of on a big hiring spree right now. I'm hiring a ton of people on my marketing teams. I'm hiring a ton of people. And for different parts of our business or different businesses that I own, I run four or five major businesses now with, gosh, we're passing either run or invest majorly in businesses that now have, you know, together combined like a thousand plus employees. And so, like, lots of different parts of our companies that I either invest in or run are hiring. So we were already looking offshore to have some customer service, some call center support, some, you know, very basic social media support for some of our other teams. And I just thought, you know what I mean, we were looking in the traditional sort of offshore things. We were looking, you know, India, we were looking Philippines, we were looking in Europe, we were looking just online too, from, you know, whether it was fiverr, it was upwork or it was behance. We were, we were looking for teams. We were getting virtual teams spread all over the place. And I, I really wanted them in one location. And I share this big long story because I just, when I was there, I was like, you know what? All of my teams primarily have been US based. And I kind of, I just wanted that to still remain true. And my one trip down to Puerto Rico, my mind kind of sparked. I thought, you know what, I think I could do some good in this community by hiring some people. I think I could do some good in this community by bringing some art and attention to this space. And of course, I always wanted to live in the Caribbean. Now there's the matter of convincing my wife to do this. Now the good news is we had already decided we were basically going to become snowbirds. And if you don't know that term, snowbirds basically in North America means Canadians and those who live in the northern part of the US Migrate south to where it's warmer when it's winter. So between December and May, across a large swath of the northern US And Canada, people go south and they go south for the winter where it's warmer. And. And that's super common, especially Where I was from in Montana, it was always really cold. The wealthy families always left us. We. We never got to leave. But we always admired the fact that people would do that because it gets really cold. And Denise and I, as you know, for the last, you know, 10 years, have lived in Portland, Oregon, which we love. And I never once complained about the weather in Portland, Oregon, for eight years because I didn't mind it. Because, remember, at this latitude, everywhere else in North America, it's snowing usually. And in Portland. Yes. Does it rain a lot? Yeah. Is it gray a lot? Yeah, but at least it's not snowing. At least it's not freezing. Most of the winter. It's just like drizzling and gray. So that versus ice and cold and sleet and snow for six months. Portland was a great deal for me. So. And we had moved up to Portland because my parents, at the time, my dad was still alive, and he, dad and mom had their house in Montana, and my wife's family is from California. And so Portland was kind of in between. It was like the elbow in between. Right. And so we were visiting Portland. We fell in love with Portland as well. So we moved up to Portland. Been here the last 10 years. Been absolutely amazing. For the first four years, I didn't let anyone know I was here. My Facebook page still said San Francisco, where Denise and I had met. I was just always really private. And so I never told anybody we lived in Portland. Probably. I don't think really most of my fan base knew for five, six years in. And I love Portland because no one really cares. Celebrity thing is not a thing here like it was in San Francisco, which is great, and so I can have my privacy. But the weather, as I said, I never complained the first eight years. The last two years, it started getting to me. I'm not gonna lie. I was like, oh, my gosh, it's February and still drizzly. And often my events, you know, like High Performance Academy takes place in March, and it does this year, too. So if you're not signed up for a High Performance Academy, make sure you go to hpa.brendan.com that's HPA, as in high performance academy.brendan.com so hpa.brendan.Com and you can get your tickets to our March event. I bring that up because our March event was, you know, usually in Phoenix or San Diego, places that are better weather. And I would go down there. I get off the plane, I'm like, you know, I'd feel, like, alive again. I'm Sorry, I'm moving the mic around, guys. This is such a janky setup right now, but I would feel totally alive with the sun again. And I'm like, oh, this is so great. And so the last two years, it really got in my mind. I was like, you know what? Maybe, maybe we need to start leaving Portland, like December through May. And so we went on a hunt. We thought of, like, maybe we'll go to, you know, places that we love, San Diego. But I've kind of done a lot of San Diego in my life. And I was like, well, I kind of feel like an adventure. And then we thought Phoenix, because my growth team is in Phoenix, where we now have over 80 employees that helps me run certified high performance coaching and the delivery of high performance coaching to many of our clients, many of you guys included. So if you ever got a coach from us that's run through my company growth, gosh. But. But Denise, oh, my gosh. So listen, San Diego, we have a ton of friends there, but we've done San Diego a lot. Phoenix, my wife is like, no, on the desert. She just does not want to live in the desert. Then I thought, like, oh, maybe Austin. Like, Austin's up and coming. Tons of friends in Austin. Austin has a little bit of deserty feel for us. It gets pretty dang hot down there. And we're kind of like, maybe, I don't know, maybe not Austin. We visited a little bit. Love Austin, love Phoenix, love San Diego. But nah, a ton of our friends have been moving and opening their businesses in Florida. As you can tell, Texas and Florida both have tax incentives. So we're like, oh, well, okay. But we weren't really. That wasn't a motivator primarily for us. Weather and lifestyle was. And I'm not too crazy about Florida yet, though. I have great friends who love there. But I thought if we're willing, as we were, like, entertaining the idea about Florida, at least as I was, I was like, listen, if I would go to Florida for six or seven months of the year, why wouldn't I make an extra, you know, hour or 45 minute or 90 minute hop to the Caribbean? And that's where it all kind of came together for me. I was like, oh, well, yeah, I'd be open for that. But, you know, six, seven months of the year, four or five months a year internationally brings up a lot of challenges from how you work to everything else when it's another country. But remember, Puerto Rico is not another country. It's a U.S. territory. It's an unincorporated U.S. territory, they call it, which means, unfortunately, Puerto Ricans do not get as many privileges as they should as US States do. And it is my deep belief that Puerto Rico should become a US State and that that just should happen. I mean, it's crazy that we have this US Territory where they receive less rights than, you know, Florida, you know, a hop away. It doesn't make any sense when they've, you know. Anyway, I could go off on that. I don't want to get political with you all, but I think it's kind of crazy. But remember Puerto Rico being a US Territory. I mean, going down there as a US Citizen, no problem. So it started entering my mind. Denise and I went. We kind of talked about a little bit. And then serendipitously, I was on a speech speaking trip down there, and I believe it was. I can't remember when it was, but, like, my friend Dean Graziosi happened to be down there. Frank Kern was down there. A couple other people who I know were down there for this conference. We were all talking, and we actually went out to dinner one night. And this person. I can't remember the whole story, but only because someone fed me wine and. But somebody come up to Dean and was like, hey, Dean, are you moving here? And he's like, well, no. He's like, oh, I thought maybe you were here for the tax things. And that this guy kind of explains to us all of the tax incentives that are in Puerto Rico. And I was like, what? Now? In my mind, the decision has already been made that added to it. It wasn't the primary motivator, though. Whenever I say we're moving part of the year to Puerto Rico, here is what we hear, number one. The number one thing we hear is, wait, isn't that where the hurricane was? Isn't it a mess? And I'm here to tell you, Puerto Rico is great. You should visit. I'm trying to get more people to go vacation down there, support the economy, move down there. It's an awesome, beautiful, beautiful island, especially if you're like me. Part of the reason I'm attracted to the Caribbean and I want to move there is I love adventure. I love being in the water. I love the. I mean, if you didn't know, Puerto Rico has it all. It's got the mountains, it's got the rivers, it's got the underground caves, it's got unbelievable windsurfing, kiteboarding. It's got unbelievable beaches. It also has rainforest. I mean, it is a very diverse island. It's Unbelievable. So, no, the island is fine. It's fine for tourism, it's fine to live. It's a great place to live. Remember the hurricane that hit? It was a disaster. It was a hundred year hurricane. I mean, it's almost impossible to describe the force of that hurricane, but it is easy to describe the force of the resilience of the people. And we fell in love with that. I am a person who, who's taught motivation and resilience my whole life. And when I get to a community and I see people galvanizing to take care of one another like that, it's really inspiring. So that was the first reason I just wanted the adventure of the Caribbean. The first thing people say, yeah, Brendan, what about the hurricane? So that, that's still an issue. And parts of the island are still recovering, but the majority, especially the urban areas where we would be living is fine. Second, and I shouldn't say fine because there's still recovery going on, but in terms of us moving there, there's no hindrance. I guess I should explain it that way because I do believe the island still needs a tremendous amount of support. The second thing we hear is, oh, are you moving there for tax reasons? And I have to admit we were a little bit slow to the tax thing. We didn't really understand that there's benefits for that. But I'm also in a little bit of a different world because I have so many different businesses. That wasn't the primary driver for us because frankly, I'm hiring a lot of people down there. I intend to, over the next, you know, year or two, apologize again for the noise, guys. I got to move this janky little setup around here. I intend to, you know, hire dozens and dozens of people down there. So the tax incentive isn't a driver for me. I'm there to support the economy. The bigger driver that no one seems to ask me about, which I'm kind of surprised about. For me, the immersion in a new culture. Being in my 40s is part of what I teach and preach. I really believe that we have to introduce a lot of variety and a lot of uncertainty into our life. We have to insert challenges into our life. And I was already in a place where my companies had to open some new support centers. I was already in a place where I wanted a little venture in my life, like the Caribbean offers. And I was already in a place where, you know, in my career, it's crazy that I don't yet in my career speak Spanish. Now I know. Again, I apologize for the noise. Guys, this is just. This is absurd. How ridiculous my little setup here is right now. Um, but it's like fall. I'm fine. It's like. I don't know if you can hear this mic moving around, but it's basically falling apart on me as I'm speaking to you. I must be going way longer winded than I imagined. So I apologize for all the noise. Um, but I wanted to get this podcast out tonight, and I did not want to bother my team for it, so I apologize. Um, so Spanish. Gotta learn it. It's been on my goal list for, like, five years now. I know that the accent, like, people often talk about, well, Puerto Ricans have a different accent than, say, Mexicans. I get it. I understand. There's different. You know, there's all different. I can't tell you just some of the dumb things I've heard online about this, so I won't go into it. But for me, being a different culture, a culture that I admire, that I love, and being in a new place is adventurous. Denise having now sold her exercise studios, she built and sold two exercise studios. Her having done that has given us location freedom, and I want to go explore. And so for all these different reasons. I know I got to shut up. But all these different reasons. We're really excited about our move to Puerto Rico. The last big announcement. Oh, my gosh. Is a long one. I apologize, guys. My last big announcement is that Denise and I are also starting a new lifestyle brand together. And Transformation Week is kind of the first shot across the bow to start introducing people to that reality. Because for just like I didn't tell people, I was in Portland for a long time. I didn't speak about my wife for a very long time into my career. And there were very obvious reasons for that in that one. In my industry, there's not a lot of privacy. Everyone wants to know and be up in your business, and I just wanted to be a trainer. Remember, if I ever meet you at a party or you introduce people to me at your party, and they say, well, what do you do? I'm always gonna say, well, I'm a writer and a coach, and both of those things, to me are very introspective work. They're very, for me, research centered, and they're very intimate centered. When I coach a person one to one, it's. There's a level of relationship there that's really magical, and that's how I started my career. The trainer part, being an online trainer and later an online you know, influencer, as they call them today, what I just call thought leader, that came later. And so I was always very private about my career. Matter of fact, if you go back, you know, to my origins, you know, 2006 to 2010, I rarely spoke about my career or my wife or anything personal because I was going to be the guy that took your questions. Brendan, how do I deal with self doubt? And I would make a video about that, answering that. All of my videos, matter of fact, go back years on YouTube. It's just me answering questions extemporaneously. So someone would submit a question. Brendan, how do I deal with, you know, with lack of confidence? Brendan, how do I achieve my goals faster? Brendan, how do I develop self discipline? I would make YouTube videos or blog videos about that. And then of course, all that compiled up later on to me developing curriculum for online courses. So for me, I was never the guy who shared a ton of personal information at the very beginning of my career. Then when Denise and I moved to Portland and she opened some exercise studios, you know, her being in a physical location every day, me caring so much about her privacy, I just didn't really talk about her. So you always heard me say my wife, my lady, my sunshine, my sweetie, my cutie patootie, you know, But I never even mentioned her name. I mean, outside of all my books, which I dedicate usually to her. I just didn't mention her name because I wanted her to have privacy. Once she sold the exercise studios, which gave us location freedom, then we started having questions like, oh, well, what should, what, what's next? As we entered our 40s, we're like, what's next? And the beautiful thing is that, you know, as you guys will see as you get to know Denise one, she's an incredible entrepreneur. You know, having built and sold these two businesses, you know, with 30 plus employees, she's just, she's incredible leader. She's an incredible business person and an incredibly thoughtful, kind, incredible mentor to the women in her community. And that always inspired me. She also always has, I mean, trust me out of the Burchards, she's the one with style. You know, like, she just, she's always had this, this, this ability to, to see aesthetic, to appreciate lifestyle design, to, to, you know, have an eye for things that are beautiful and, and, and with a real design aesthetic. I mean, she, to give you an idea, like, she literally designed her exercise studios. They look like, you know, five star spas. It's incredible what she was able to do and she could just See it. I remember her coming home one time and her starting the exercise studios was a big risk and we didn't know how it would go. And it was her dream and she had supported my dream, so I supported hers. And I mean, I remember her coming home and after meeting with architects, she came home with like four little tiles. And like one little tile was going to be the wood on the floor and one tile was going to be the color on the, on the, you know, the walls. Another tile was the bathroom tile. And then she had all these little swatches of color and things and she, she tried, she like laid on the floor and she explained it to me and I could see that she saw it and all I saw were these little tiles. You know, I don't have that, you know, interior design thinking like she does. I mean, she makes our home, my office, her office, just beautiful with the choices she has. And so with that in mind, this incredible woman who's incredibly thoughtful, kind and inspiring, who loves to mentor women, who has an extraordinary eye for design, who is also a very discerning buyer as a female, as a woman who just really appreciates the quality of things, but also is a discerning buyer like I am in terms of that high performance stuff. I have a high degree of excellence about the products we buy, about the food we consume, about the, you know, we really care about health and wellness, we really care about clean living. But that kind of thing, I didn't, that's not, I don't talk about that much stuff, you know, because that's, that's really my wife. And so we thought, let's do something together now that she sold the studios, now that we can go where we want. And she was, trust me, gung ho for some sun. My sunshine. She loved that sun. So that all led to the decision to Puerto Rico and it led to the launch of hpx, what we call the high performance experience. Our website and our lifestyle brand for that will be HPX Life. And HPEX stands for High Performance Experience. Because if you've been following me for a while, I'm always talking about, you know, we're all trying to live that high performance experience where we feel fully engaged with our life, where we feel joyous and confident, where we've set up our environment for us to be focused and productive and happy, where we just feel that higher level of a fully charged life that comes with cultivating, living and trying and aspiring to live into that high performance experience of life. And so HPX is what we are doing together. There will be a lot more announcements to that in January. We don't actually have very much as a simple website up at HPX Life, which is really right now just promoting Transformation Week. So you'll see when you go to transformation week.com it will redirect you to an HPX Life website. And that's the reason why, because Transformation week is the first thing we're kind of doing to launch HPX Life in January. We have some product launches coming along with it. We have the blog launching, we have some new content, some new social media channels. It's going to be kind of like a big splashy thing towards the end of January, but you guys are the first ones to hear it. So to me, this was a big episode. I'm sure I'll listen years later, laughing, remembering about the janky setup I have with this, this, this, you know, tapestry over here and this goofy soundboard that I have no idea if it worked for you guys or not because, you know, now it's pretty late and I got to get this thing done and check on Transformation Week. And then in 24 hours we move. It's a big day for the Burchard's is a big announcement here on the Brendon show and all I can do is something super simple and that's ask you to listen to every dang episode we're doing on the Brendon show because for the first time we're really going to be talking about our journey in building a brand. And I know so many of you are entrepreneurs and so many of you have watched me build brands over time but never heard the behind the scenes of those conversations about what I've done to do all that. And especially if you're new to the community, you know, we've built some pretty remarkable brands and been blessed to reach tens of millions of people with these brands and products and programs. And I'll be talking more about the behind the scenes of that as Denise and I build hpx. So I hope you'll join us for that journey. So tell a friend about the Brendon show because we'll be premiering that. And listen, on January 1st, we start transformation Week. So make sure you go to transformationweek.com and get yourself subscribed. Subscribed. It's free. But also on January 1st, we're gonna drop the very first ever interview on the Brendan show. Like the very first official legit where I interview another person. And that person I am interviewing for the very first time is my wife Denise. I'd love for you to hear her perspective on all this insanity and we'll be recording it in Puerto Rico and I'm excited to share that with you. She's game for this adventure and has been doing so much behind the scenes to get me the business ready for this move. Thank God. She's my angel. I am completely unprepared. I haven't thought about what I'm packing and literally we're leaving in 24 hours. So I have zero preparation for this trip. But I'm really excited about it. For those who are friends who are listening in Portland, don't worry, yes, we'll be coming back to visit in Portland. We, you know, I still have, you know, virtual team members here in Portland. The High Performance Institute is still here. We still, you know, we just have so many dear friends. We're back to Portland many, many, many, many times. But for a good probably half the year, I'll be down building out the new office and the new teams for HPX in Puerto Rico. It's a brand new adventure and you guys are hearing it from scratch. You're hearing it from the lowliest little corner beginning next to this tapestry and the soundboard and my travel mic, which I have no idea how it sounds. So please share the Brendon show, please tune in the episodes, follow along, hear what we're doing and make sure you're subscribed to me on Instagram because it's also on Instagram where we'll be doing a lot of Instagram lives sometimes together. But of course that's going to be primarily me doing a lot more Instagram Live this year for you all. I enjoy it. I've been trying to do it, you know, about 20 minutes a day every, every, every other, every couple of days I'm on there. I'll be much more dedicated to that over these coming weeks because a lot of our friends and family are really like, they would just want to see the behind the scenes of Puerto Rico. So if you want the whole thing, make sure you subscribe to the Brendon show. Make sure you follow me on Instagram, give us a shout out especially for this episode. If you're listening to this episode, would you do me a favor, take a screenshot, post it on your stories, link to it, make sure you hashtag the Brendon show. I'd love to see who's listening to this, when and where. I'm really excited about it and I thank you all for your support in 2018. It was a wild, rocky, crazy 2018. So if you'd like to hear everything I learned in 2018, make sure you listen to the Brennan show episode called lessons learned in 2018. I also urge you to scroll back to some of our episodes and just hit play or download on any episodes that resonate to you at this time of your life heading into 2019. If you struggled with self discipline, scroll back to that episode. If you've struggled with, you know, confidence, go find an episode on confidence. If you've struggled with time management or you've struggled with, you know, anything related to self doubt or anything related to personal development, listen, you've got over, I don't know, you know, 200 probably shows here that you can go back and listen to and really build your own curriculum for this time in your life entering 2019. Like that's how I'd love for you to look at the Brendon Show. Also for those who are new to this community and we're going to start calling this community the HPX community going forward because I think we're all trying to live the high performance experience. So we'll use hashtag HPX or hashtag HPX Life going forward. You'll see a lot of that from social media on with me if you're new. If you didn't know Season four of this very podcast the Brendon Show Season four is the entire audiobook of my book High Performance Habits. So all you have to do is subscribe to the Brennan show and hit download all episodes or just scroll back down to season four and download all episodes of season four and you'll see those episodes of season four are each chapter of my book High Performance Habits. It's the audiobook for free. I can't believe how many people don't know that. I put it kind of in there and I didn't really announce it except to some of our customers over a period of time. And then it grew into this thing. But listen, Amazon last year called that the top three business and leadership book of the year. It will really take you into 2019 strong to know without any doubt what science has shown about which habits matter the most for long term success and the kind of long term success that you're able to manage your well being and remain positive and happy. That's that whole season, Season four. It's the audiobook for High Performance habits. So go download every single one of those episodes right now and listen to it in January. Even if you've read the book, when you listen to it, you get something different. If You've already listened to it. Listen to it again. I'm personally listening to it again, which sounds completely crazy, but the research is what drives that book and I want to make sure I'm doing the right things in my life to set myself up for success. I'm practicing my high performance habits every single day. I hope you are. Make sure you listen to season four. Download every single episode. Do that for me. That would be awesome. With that, the longest rambling announcement episode of all time. Transformation week has started. Transformationweek.com My wife and I are moving to Puerto Rico and we're launching a new brand called HPX or HPX Life. Can't wait to tell you more about that in coming episodes. One last shout out. Again, thank you all for your incredible support in 2018. I look forward to 2019 like I've never looked forward to a year in my life. To go down to a new culture, to experience a new place, to play in the ocean, to learn Spanish, also be learning piano for those who are asking about other skills. I'm learning to just experience a different time and space in my 40s with my beloved, doing something we both love together. We're gonna have so much fun and I can't wait for all of the train wrecks along the way, all of the having no idea how to do this along the way, all of the ambition and resilience and fun and joy and community and experiences that we get to build together with you this year, I count it as a blessing to have you in this Brendan show community, in this community we now call HPX in this world. I know that you listen to this because you're dedicated to your personal development. I know you listen to this because you care about being your best for your family or your brand, your business, your career or the greater world. If we've ever needed you to show up as your best self, to express your truth, to stand firm about important standards and values in your life so that society sees a few role models right now, man, we need you. So please, if 2018 wasn't what you wanted, make 2019 more of what you wanted. Put yourself out there. Really go for your dreams, work diligently, practice your high performance habits and know every single step of the way we're here with you doing the same thing. Thanks everybody. Good night.
