Foreign hey, my friends, it's Brendon Burchard and welcome to a special episode of the Brendon show where we jump into some of the best of my motivational quotes. Hey, my friends, it's Brendan. And welcome to your weekly roundup of my 60 second motivational quotes that I post out on Instagram and other social media. We thought we'd compile them here for you to give you some motivational fire for your week. So let's go. It's like the worst thing to realize and the best thing to realize. No one is going to stand up and hand you a plate of progress in life, you guys. You must make progress by your own sheer will, discipline and efforts. Every day the progress comes from you. It's not other people doing you a favor. It's not other people giving you a hand up. It's not other people opening doors. Look, some of those things might happen for you, but those aren't things you can control as much as you think. And so what you have to do is move yourself forward, get your skills home, honed in, develop, improve, add tremendous value everywhere that you go. And then, hey, look, doors open. But it's first your intention to take a lot of initiative and move the needle forward yourself because you know what? The world loves to reward, momentum, work ethic value. So trust that you can do this and get at it. My friends, it's not selfish to want to be happier and have a better lifestyle. Those who judge you now for striving will thank you later for succeeding. Yeah, they're going to be upset that you're working harder. Yes. They're going to be like, who do you think you are? That's a big dream. Can you really handle it? I'm worried about you. Seems like you're changing. But you know what? You changing and you worrying about your future and wanting to grow into a better person and to give more and to become more and to contribute more and skill up. That's okay. That is not selfish. That is being in service to your full potential. That is being in service to the gifts you have been given by God. That is being in service to the truth that your future is going to be extraordinary. But you have to work for it. It's in service to that feeling inside that says, hey, it's time to change. It's time to become better. Better. It's time to have more, be more, contribute more. And as you do that, some people might judge it, but once you have that success and they see it and you're A role model. Sometimes the biggest decisions, the boldest decisions, happen when you realize there's nothing wrong with quitting what's not right and starting over. You know, you're wiser now and you'll figure things out. The last time you wanted to quit something, it was terribly scary because you were younger or there was a tremendous amount of uncertainty right in front of that decision. And that's probably here today too. You know, if you quit something, it, yeah, there's an unknown tomorrow, but you are wiser now. You have come further now. You have proven that you'll figure things out. Yeah, it might not be perfect if you quit right now, but you'll figure things out. I know it's hard to quit because sometimes you have this sense of obligation to what is current right now. For a lot of people, they misplace their loyalty. Sometimes they don't realize that what is here right now isn't the best. And they don't realize what is here right now is something that's really a false obligation and they could move on and that they'll figure the things out. Sometimes you gotta quit and start over and you'll figure it out. Listen to this one. Our greatest personal power is the ability to take over our impulses and direct our minds to choices and commitments that will serve us. Yes, I know you're like, ah, yeah, no dub right in. But listen, how many times do you let your impulse to, hey, I just. I don't feel like doing it right now ruin your progress. How many times you're like, your mind says, don't watch this next three seasons of this thing on Netflix, but you do anyway, even though you had a big to do list and dreams to follow. And that's an issue, right? Is that sometimes we just don't feel like it. We don't feel like going to work, we don't feel like getting things done, we don't feel like being kind or we follow the impulses to be rude, the impulses to say something or do something we know we shouldn't do. And maturity comes with the fact that we realize that we can stop that process, that we don't have to be slave to our own impulses, that we can use the power of our mind to direct our actions and in fact, we must. Do you ever hear that advice that you need a whole new peer group and your peer group determines your net worth and you need all these people around to support you and you need to build this huge network to succeed? I think that's really good advice. Of course, if we could all have an amazing, super successful community around us at all times, cheering us on and opening doors for us, that would be wonderful. But a lot of people say, well, I don't have that. And so they stop. And I'm here to tell you to make a difference in your life, you don't need dozens of new friends or acquaintances or networking. You need one more positive person who brings out the best in you. And look, that's one great new friend or one great friend who you just talk with more. That's getting a coach or one new mentor or one new community member who, who might know other people who could open the doors for you. So just start with one. Stop worrying about having dozens and dozens. You'll gather that as you go throughout your career. For now, start with one. Listen. The work is what makes you deserving of success. Your output, your creativity, your contribution. Like the literally things that you produce, create, show to the world. That's what makes you deserving of success. Your mind, how you are and what you're like. That doesn't make you necessarily deserving of external successes. It's what you output. It's showing up. It's doing the hard work. Look, the work will make you deserving. The belief will make you feel worthy. Yeah, people think I got it all figured out because I'm the high performance habits guy, right? You're the high performer. But I still struggle with a lot of things. The things that really bother me that I struggle with, like just like to strive joyfully. You know, I'm always striving for bigger, better things. And so often I got my head down and I'm super intense. I'm just going at it. And sometimes when you're striving really hard, you can be disappointed or discouraged. So I'm trying to strive joyfully. I also struggle to face difficulty gracefully because sometimes when difficulty comes up, I get angry, I get frustrated. I feel like, you know, it shouldn't be happening and I don't accept what's happening. You know, sometimes as faithfully or gracefully as I could. And also to serve without complaint. You know, the number of hours, the number of projects, the number of things we do to maintain our community and provide our value to the world and run our teams and brands and businesses, it's intense. But if you have this opportunity to serve, you don't complain about the effort involved. Okay? My friends, I hope you enjoyed this motivational session here on the Brendon show.
