In this instructional video, Bill from Beyond Fitness Online explains how stimulating the vagus nerve via a specific spot on the left ear can enhance a range of bodily functions. He introduces the Z‑Vibe—a small vibrating device originally made for pediatric dentistry—as a primary tool, but also lists alternatives such as ice, heat, massage, or mild electrical pulses. By applying vibration (or other stimuli) to the ear’s vagal innervation point, Bill claims improvements in digestion, emotional regulation, immune response, and especially in flexion‑based movements (e.g., arm curls, forward bends, sit‑ups). He also notes benefits for balance and vertigo. The video provides practical tips for using the device, encourages viewers to experiment with DIY methods, and ends with a call to try the technique, share results in the comments, and subscribe for future updates.

Hi, I'm Bill from Beyond Fitness Online. Today I want to talk to you a little bit about the vagus nerve. Now, I've had other videos in the past talking about how the vagus nerve can impact so many different things in your body, from your visceral organs, pelvic floor, your digestive system, your emotional regulation, all kinds of different things. And you can go back in my channel and check out More of those videos. But today I want to show you a different way that I've been using lately to help stimulate the vagus nerve in some clients with some great success. Now, one of the things that the vagus nerve does is it innervates the ear right here above this ridge. And so if we can start to stimulate that area, oftentimes that can be very effective to stimulate the vagus nerve, which can improve digestion, it can improve all kinds of movement, including flexion movements. It can also improve balance, especially if you've got an issue with vertigo or other imbalance issues. So this is a great spot to really kind of go after. One of the tools I use is this right here. It's called a Z-Vibe. It's actually made by pediatric dentists, and it just vibrates. So when I just turn this here, you might be able to hear that it vibrates. And what I do is I just take that and stick that in that spot On people's left ear. Now, if you don't have anything that vibrates, you can also do any other kind of stimulus. You could try ice or heat. You could try stretching or even sticking your finger in there and massaging. They even make some tools that do like a little bit of an electrical pulse into that area. And these can all be very, very beneficial. And if you're going to use these, ideas for your exercise, they are fantastic for building strength in any flexion movement. So if you're doing an arm curl, if you're doing a forward bend, if you're doing a sit-up or a crunch-type movement, anything where you're flexing the body, stimulating this area, particularly in the left ear, can be super powerful. Also can be great for improving your immune system. Helping with your emotional regulation. So there's a ton of benefits to this. So give this a try. I will leave the link to this in my description below if you're interested in getting one. They're not super expensive. But, you know, play with it. Stick your finger in there, stick other things in there. You could take like a pen and kind of poke it a little bit. See how your body responds. It's really great, super powerful. Give it a try. Let me know in the comments out below how that went for you. And If you haven't already, please subscribe. I post new updates every Friday, and until next time, live healthy.
