In this video, Bill Daniels, owner of beyondfitnessonline.com, expands the common view of metabolism from a simple calorie‑burning concept to an umbrella term that includes the body’s chemistry, endocrine system, and key organs such as the pancreas, liver, gallbladder, and gastrointestinal tract. He explains that a compromised metabolism can manifest as chronic fatigue, poor sleep, weight gain, vision problems, vertigo, and even increase the risk of serious diseases like cancer and heart disease. Daniels highlights that metabolism is affected not only by internal organ function but also by external inputs: the quality and timing of food, water purity, oxygen intake and breathing mechanics, and environmental pollutants (including xenoestrogens, mold, and low‑level gas leaks). He offers immediate, actionable steps—optimizing nutrient‑dense food intake and timing, ensuring clean water, improving breathing technique, and assessing the living environment for toxins. The video ends with a call to subscribe for future deep‑dives into each metabolic component and an invitation for viewers to comment with their experiences.

Did you know that your health issues could be linked to your metabolism? Let me explain. Hi, I'm Bill, owner of beyondfitnessonline.com, where we think outside of the box to help you lose weight and get out of pain so you can live the healthy, active lifestyle that you deserve. So today I want to talk to you about metabolism, and this is something that I've worked with, with people for years and years And it's very misunderstood. Metabolism, we generally think about as how many calories we can burn, how many calories we need to take in, and sometimes we get into it a little bit deeper and somebody says, oh, it has to do with my thyroid. And although that's not totally wrong, it's actually correct, but there's much more to it than that. Metabolism is an umbrella term. that encompasses all of your body chemistry. And how your body chemistry works or doesn't work will determine your metabolism. And when we think about poor metabolism, we generally think, oh yeah, I'm gonna end up gaining weight. But that's just one small piece. There are so many other things that can happen if you have a poor metabolism. If your metabolism is compromised, You may have chronic fatigue or just be tired all the time no matter how much sleep you get. It may influence your sleep. It can also play a part in bigger issues like cancer and heart disease. So getting your metabolism right is really, really important for your overall health. So when we talk about metabolism, we want to think about all the parts involved. You can basically take all of your endocrine system or your hormone system, all of the glands in your body that play a role in that, all the parts of your body that play a role in blood sugar. So these are things like your pancreas, your liver, your gallbladder, your GI tract. All of this stuff plays some level of role in your metabolism, and when one piece of that's not working, it can throw the whole thing off and you can start having all kinds of other health issues. What else is interesting about this is all of those pieces are influenced by anything you take into your body. This includes not only your food, but your water and your oxygen, and any other environmental pollutants, or what's called xenoestrogens, could influence all of those pieces and ultimately influence your metabolism for better or for worse. In future videos, I'm gonna dive into each piece of this, and those are coming up. So make sure that if you haven't already, subscribe to my channel right here so that you can get those updates and learn as we go. And you may be able to figure out what piece isn't working for you. But for now, what I wanna do is talk to you about some things you can do right now that may make a difference for you. So if you're feeling like you have any of those health issues, whether it's fatigue, or slow metabolism, you're gaining weight, even things like poor vision and vertigo can actually play a role in poor metabolism or even be a result of poor metabolism. So here's what you should do. Take a look at the things I mentioned a little while ago in this video. Take a look at the food you're taking in. Are you getting the right amount of food? Are you getting foods that are high in nutrients? Are you getting foods that have pollutants or are poorly grown? If those— if that's the case, that may be influencing your metabolism in a negative way. Are you getting enough food at the right times during the day? Because timing your food can be really, really important. Take a look at your water. Is your water really dirty? You may want to actually do some investigation into how clean your water treatment plant is where you live. You may just wanna invest in a filter system for your water. That can play a role because water can carry a lot of crap in it that can really affect you in a negative way. But water is also really, really important. So you may wanna just make sure that the water you're getting is really, really good and make sure you're getting enough of it. The third piece to this is the oxygen. Breathing the appropriate way is really important and done incorrectly most of the time. I would say that with about all of the people I work with, about 90% of them have a breathing dysfunction at some level. Most of them are very minor and their mechanics are just off. But as time goes on and we work on that, sometimes that can make all the difference. So if you want more information on that, you can check out this video right here, and that will teach you the beginnings of how to breathe more properly. The last piece to this Is to maybe take a look at your environment. Take a look around where you live. Are there possible pollutants in your area? Could there be mold? Could there be a gas leak that's just so minor it seems like it doesn't matter? Those things can actually play a huge role. I've even heard stories about people with mold poisoning or breathing in a certain gas that was just leaking at a very small level and it creating problems like vertigo, nausea, and just overall fatigue. So if that sounds like you, you may want to look into that. If you have any other questions, please go ahead and leave a comment below. I'd love to hear from you. Let me know your thoughts. Let me know if you've experienced any of this stuff. And if you haven't already, please subscribe right here. And until next time, live healthy.
