In this instructional YouTube video, Bill, the owner of beyondfitnessonline.com, presents three practical strategies to help viewers feel full after meals and stick to their diet plans. He first emphasizes the importance of consuming balanced, high‑quality macronutrients—complex carbohydrates, proteins, and fats—at every meal, explaining how protein and fat slow digestion and how complex carbs provide fiber and boost serotonin, which aids satiety and mood. The second tip focuses on managing stress, noting that stress depletes serotonin, leading to cravings for sugary foods, poorer sleep, and increased hunger; Bill suggests exercise, breathing techniques, and personal downtime as stress‑reduction methods. The third tip advises creating a structured eating routine and environment, such as planning meal times, keeping food out of sight, and establishing personal boundaries to avoid unplanned snacking, especially in busy households. Throughout, Bill encourages viewers to subscribe, ask questions, and adopt these habits to achieve healthier, more sustainable weight loss.

Today, I've got 3 tips for you on how to feel full after every meal. Hi, I'm Bill, owner of beyondfitnessonline.com, and today I wanna talk to you about how to feel full after your meals. And this is important because when you want to lose weight, what happens is we get on these diets and we get on these structured eating plans And we often don't stick to them because we start to have cravings or we feel hungry, and the next thing you know, you're snacking on the chips or the cookies when you were trying to stay away from that stuff. And if you're new to my channel, please don't hesitate to subscribe. Hit the bell below and you'll get all my updates. I try to post every single Friday, and I've got lots of great information about nutrition and exercise that can help you out. So, here are my 3 tips. Tip number 1: is make sure that you're eating your carbohydrates, your proteins, and your fats every time you eat. And make sure that they're high-quality, healthy carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. Now, here's what happens. When you eat protein and fat, they have their own role in your body, but particularly in digestion, they go slowly. Now, what happens is that slows digestion, which means that it's gonna make you feel full a little bit longer. Proteins can take 2 to 3 hours to break down in your stomach, and fats can take 3 to 5 hours. So, they will keep you feeling satiated for a longer period of time. Now, on top of all of that, carbohydrates are important. Not poor carbohydrates or simple carbohydrates, but the complex carbohydrates. This is fruits, vegetables, and grains. So, basically whole foods. Now, what happens is when you eat carbohydrates, They will digest quicker if you're eating them alone. But if you're balancing those with your proteins and your fats, they do several things. One, the carbohydrates that you get that are complex carbohydrates will have fiber in them. Fiber will also play a role in slowing digestion. 2, carbohydrates actually stimulate the release of a neurotransmitter called serotonin. Now, serotonin has several roles in the body. It does play a huge role in your mood. When your mood is down, then we tend to go and look for an upper, which oftentimes we start to look for those fast-acting simple carbohydrates, which are your sugars and things like that. Second, with serotonin, is that it will influence the way that you are able to sleep at night and Serotonin also helps signal the brain that you're full and you've had enough to eat. So, without the serotonin levels being up, you're gonna continue to feel hungry and wanna continue to eat. So, it's important to get your high-quality carbohydrates along with your proteins and your fats. Tip number 2 is to manage your stress. Now, this may sound weird. What does that have to do with my eating and my diet and feeling full? Well, it's simple. When we have a lot of stress, it actually depletes the serotonin levels in your brain. So going back to what we had just said, that will make your mood go downhill and cause you to start looking for those fast-acting sugary foods, and it will also affect your sleep, which then starts this cycle of feeling tired and grumpy and craving those high sugary foods. And, when you're having low serotonin, as we said earlier, your brain will constantly tell you that you're hungry. So, it's important to make sure that you are getting your stress under control. This can be done many different ways, and you need to figure out what works best for you. But, some of the ways that I have found with clients over the years is working out when you're feeling stressed, going to some breathing exercises when you're feeling stressed, And, just taking time to get away and have stuff to do for yourself. Those kinds of things will help to lower your stress levels and elevate your serotonin levels, therefore keeping you feeling full a little bit longer. Tip number 3, create a structure for yourself. Now, when I say that, what I mean is, have an idea of when you're gonna eat your meals. Try to plan out what you're going to have and when you're going to have it. Try to have the food in the kitchen off to the side when you're not eating so that you're not tempted. Try and give yourself as much of a structure through your day as you can so that you don't accidentally stray off course. It's very easy, especially if you have kids, to start picking off their plate or to go into the kitchen to get them something to eat and then stop by and grab something you weren't planning on eating. So, if you give yourself more of a structure that fits with your personality and your day-to-day life, then you are more likely to have some success. I hope you found this helpful.
