Closing Percentage | KPI Highlight

Kris Hunter explains why closing percentage matters: it identifies your best salespeople, flags who needs coaching, and shows if your business actually delivers value. HVAC teams typically close around 50%, tech leads hit 75%+, and marketed leads average 35%.
Coffee. Have it just about every morning. But you know what? Not everybody deserves coffee because coffee's for closers. Put that coffee down. Are you a closer? Is somebody on your team a closer? Well, truth is, you may not know if you're not measuring this. I'm Kris Hunter. I want to talk to you today about an important KPI closing percentage. So let's dig in. Once you start measuring closing percentage, you'll find out three important things. Number one, you'll find out who your top performer is. Here's a novel idea. Why don't we give the ball to those that are having the highest closing percentage, Let them go score. Isn't that the name of the game anyway? Alright, so number two, you'll find out who the low performers are. Who isn't performing up to your expectation. Here's another novel idea. Why don't we give those people coaching to bring their level up so they'll be able to score for you. Here's the third thing. You, as the leader of your company, you will be able to see as a total if you are providing the value that you're charging for. If your overall closing percentage is low, there's a chance that you are not providing the value. Your systems aren't producing what you intended to be and you're overcharging for it. So here's what we also know about this. Service Titan can help measure this very, very well. In fact, it even takes it one level deeper. So instead of just measuring the individual performers, we can actually measure this by campaign, even by geographic area. So walk with me here. So let's imagine our H Vac salespeople. They go out and Are they closing at 50%? Well, they should. That's an industry benchmark. But do you know what their closing percentage is on tech generated leads? Well, I hope it's 75% or greater. But if you don't know, you can't measure. What about on marketed leads, those leads that were just from our marketing efforts? At least 35% closing ratio is what you should be shooting for on those with an overall blended average of over 50%. So if you like tips like this, we want you to keep subscribing and watching these with Service Titan because you know what, we feel like everybody deserves copy. It's go time. Sa.
