Field Features with Margaux | ST-60 Mobile Features

Margaux walks through four mobile updates for ServiceTitan technicians: two-way chat with the office, equipment status tracking with a Replace Equipment action, form triggers that require completion per appointment, and SMS alerts for cancellations and next-job arrivals.
Hey there. I'm Margot from ServiceTitan and today we're going to walk through the Release notes for ST60 and how they'll affect you as a technician. On the mobile side, first thing we're going to talk about is the technician two way chat. You asked for it and now it's finally here. You may have had access to chat previously if you had the right permissions, but now if you get an extra permission from your office and you can click into the chat here, you can actually reach out to your customer directly. It's worth noting that you can't initiate a chat, so if there's not already a thread going, you cannot reach out to your customer. So either the office has had to reach out already, or if your office is set up to set out those job dispatch notifications, then a thread would have already been started. The next feature we're going to talk about is equipment status. So on this job I added a piece of equipment and now there is a new piece of equipment which was installed on 26 May, and then this old piece of equipment that we have replaced. So now there's a status over here. Both have been marked installed. Let's go into this old piece of equipment, hit the three dots on the top right and click Replace Equipment. So instead of having to remove the equipment, so then you no longer have the history that you have all the notes for all the forms, for now, you can mark it as replace. So now when you go back over here, the status has been updated to replaced. The next feature we're going to talk about is another form trigger. So now there are triggers that can force you to fill out a form on every single appointment. This is going to be really helpful for forms that need to be filled out every single day on an ongoing job that's going to take a really long time. So, as you can see, I just got this form being triggered for this appointment. One, it would say minus two, minus three, depending on how many appointments are sitting on the job, I can fill it out later, but when I leave this appointment, it's going to force me to fill it out. Now, if there are more than one technician on the job, if I'm the first one to leave, so if I'm going to mark my appointment just myself as done, it's not going to force me to fill out the form. It does show that it is required. So if I want to be nice, I can fill it out for my fellow technician. Otherwise it will let me close out. All right, now I am the only technician on this job. So this is for an appointment. Dash two, a different appointment. If I hit continue, I can fill out the form, but if I try to leave now and mark myself as done, it is going to force me to complete this form. I can no longer hit close out until it is filled out. All right. The last feature is not actually in the app itself. It's actually a text message that would be coming to your phone number. There's two different technician alerts that you could possibly be getting from your office if they set this up. There's the dispatch canceled, and there's the technician next job alert. So if you dispatch yourself out to a job and on your way there, the customer called to cancel or you needed to cancel the job for whatever reason, it's going to text you so that you can stop while you're driving and see that you need to stop and turn around and go to whatever job you need to go to instead so that you don't get all the way there and realize the job's been canceled. The technician next job is just going to alert you when the next arrival window is starting on a job. So this is really helpful if you're constantly being assigned to jobs last minute so that you may think you don't have a job coming up, but you actually do. So both of those alerts may be coming in on your cell phone if your office sets that up. That's it for this release. Thank you so much for watching. We'll catch you next time. Have a great day.
