Field Features with Margaux | ST-69 Mobile Features

Margaux walks through three Spring 2024 updates for ServiceTitan field techs: internal notes that office staff can see, configurable service materials for accurate pricing, and conditional form-tagging that automatically sorts jobs based on answers.
Hi there. I'm Margo from ServiceTitan, and today we're going to walk through the Spring 2024 release and how that will affect you as a technician out in the field. We have a lot of yells this time, so you asked, we listen. First thing, we're going to look on the estimate screen. We now have the option to add notes. These are internal notes that both the office and technicians can see. And when you present your estimates, the customer won't be seeing any of this information. So as you can see, it says one note. And when I click in, I can see it's a note that actually came from the office side. Someone who answered the original phone call is going to give you some more context, maybe how you need to build those estimates. All those important notes are there, so make sure you're keeping an eye out for those. The next thing we're going to discuss is for those of you who have Price Book Pro, you may know that there are services that a lot of times have generic materials or equipment listed with some costing on it. And now we have the option to be more configurable with those services. So once the office goes ahead and turns that on. So you may not see this right away. Now you're going to be able to see some extra options to choose the exact material or piece of equipment you're using so that your job costing is as accurate as possible. So I'm going to try that by adding a faucet here to my estimate. Now clicking into here, you're going to see this new area. Titan Intelligence is pulling some other materials or equipment you use pretty commonly. If you can't find exactly what you're looking for, you can click find more items, but then it also leaves that generic item. So if you want to use that instead, just leave it as is. But I'm going to go ahead and replace it with this faucet that I use. I'm going to click add to the estimate and that all gets added. If after the fact you need to go back into that item, you can go ahead and switch it after you've already added it to the estimate as well. The last thing we're going to look at is related to forms. So we're going to look at the tags that are currently on this job, whether you knew this or not, depending on what form you fill out. There used to be a way on the office side to add some triggers to add tags to the job, the customer, or the location based on what form is filled out. So now we've added some additional conditional logic to these so that now, depending on what answer you give, a different tag can potentially be added to that job, customer or location. So I'm going to go ahead into my form here. The example I used was about the age of an equipment and based on how I answer how old it is, it's going to add a different tag to the job. I've also seen a good example of end of job forms where you can say why something didn't get finished. Like a permit needs to be filed, something needs to get ordered, then different tags can get added based on that as well. So if I go ahead and say that this, this is an older piece of equipment and go ahead and save that form now, you're going to see that right away that tag got added to the job based on how I set it up on the office side. So once again, this is something you may not see right away till the office sets it up, but once you start seeing it happen, you're going to know exactly why. That's it for me today. Thank you so much for watching and catch you next time.
