ServiceTitan and Power the Nation are partnering with Chimicum Valley Tech School in Poulsbo, WA to teach trades to young people. The program uses real building projects to teach both hard and soft skills, and community members like Lori have donated equipment to support the effort.
Everything that we need to do to run a business can be within ServiceTitan. My business has been able to grow, and so I show up for my community because of it. When I heard about Power the Nation, I was thrilled. We're in a real small community. We're really trying to work with young folks in our area to help them get involved in the trades. We start out with Chimicum Valley Tech School. And we had a great opportunity with that trades program.
There's a big gap between the students that are coming out of high school with the skills ready to work and the employers that are looking for those, and we're trying to fill that gap. And I know that if I call Lori, that she would do everything she could to help make my program successful.
CommunityWorks uses building projects as a catalyst for teaching young people hard and soft skills. Lori approached me and offered to donate a unit to heat and cool our shop space. In the area that we gather.
It's a real big deal, and especially these rural areas, to have someone as large as ServiceTitan help us give back.
