Bill Brown and Speaker B explain how HVAC companies can lock in repeat business. Jobs over $500 generate service credits customers redeem on future work, with examples of $250-$3,000 credits leading to thousands in new sales. A filter-credit plan ships filters directly to customers, keeping them from buying at Home Depot.
like a gift card, right?
So what we do is any, any service over $500, we let the customer use those credits for anything, whether it's duct cleaning, AQ products, new system, whatever it be. All the, everybody running their clothes, heavy loads of clothes, doing dryer vents. We've had people, hey, can I use my credits for that? That's fine. Let's use them. It makes them, you're giving something back to them.
Yeah.
Then it's just discounting stuff. Hey. If you buy from me, I'll give you these. But it accumulates up. I've had some customers go in and spend thousands more dollars with me because they had a $250 credit phone and $2,000 or $3,000 and use the $250.
So, I mean, like a gift card, right? They almost feel like they have to use it, right?
Yeah. Yeah. And then along with that, you know, on our top tier plan, we also offer filter credits. So they get X amount of they can, they can order their filters and send right to you. So it keeps them from going to Home Depot or Lowe's and, and going down the filter aisle because we all know who's standing at the end of the filter aisle is the, the Home Depot AC salesman trying to sell.
Yeah. With a, with a $9.95 tune-up, right?
I saw somebody posted that and I was like, $9.
Yeah. It's like, I gotta get this $9 discount here. Right? Yeah. Those credits are pretty good idea.
