So what about when people get stuck? If you've got people who are stuck, who are frustrated, who are not leveling up, I want to give you the one simple secret to get them unstuck. It's powerful listening. When you actually listen to people, what they're dealing with and you don't just jump in and try to solve their problems and you listen to their struggles and what they care about and like that whole world of things when you know where they're coming from and you listen, you can actually with your listening, let them show up, let them level up. The best way to get your people re engaged, reconnected starts with listening. So be a better listener and don't just leap into solving problems. As leaders, we all the time feel compelled like we should jump in and solve their problems. But to really be an effective great leader of a large significant organization that does something that you really care about in the world, that solves a problem, that makes a difference, right? You've got to have a big team. The bigger your ambition, the bigger, more powerful, effective team you need. And to keep people engaged on that, you've got to become a better listener. When you listen to them, when you appreciate their struggles, you help them get re engaged, you help them to see and find new approaches. But it is what you tell them to do. It's the way you listen that lets them work through it themselves and then get themselves to the other side. So the best coaching, the best mentoring, the best whatever development of anyone on your team who isn't leveling up or who is stuck really begins with your listening. So always, always, always go back to curiosity and listening. That's made the biggest difference for me as a leader and as a coach and it continues to make a difference for the leaders that I work with. That really like break out, that bust out, that scale up.
