Do you have lots of back channel conversations, water cooler chats that definitely aren't all aligned and fabulous? If you've got lots of back channel discussions, side chat, people buttonholing like grabbing each other on the side to talk about something that they don't want to talk about out in the open, We've got something for you on this one. Hi there, I'm Bill Gallagher, Scaling coach and host of the Scaling Up Business Podcast. You'll find our Scaling Up Business podcast, our weekly tips, our deep dive conversations with the gurus, experts and authors, and our getting real conversations with CEOs about how they grew their company and what went into it. All that and more@scalingcoach.com or at iTunes, Stitcher, Spotify, YouTube, wherever else you get your regular audio video content. So CEO that I was working with had a ton of this. They were completely like off on the side and their team was all doing these little private whisper things all over the place. And the deal was that this CEO really was not one to cross and didn't have a very evolved conflict style. So the thing that we did is we just talked. We spent, I don't know, a good hour talking about our conflict styles. We talked about what conflict looked like in our households growing up, what our parents and family and cultural conflict styles were and then how we'd evolved it today. And then we all took some time to upgrade our approach and bring some self awareness to our own approach to conflict as well as some appreciation for others. So conflict style discovery Conflict styles are developed very early on in your childhood, in your family, in your cultural environment. So you want to discover what they are and then notice are you embodying that same style or are you reacting to that? But either way it's probably not consciously a thought out and evolved approach. So we want to share them, we want to begin to upgrade them. Simple as that. Over time they started to get more conversations out in the open, better productive, healthier conflict, and then it's on to the next thing. Hope that's helpful for you. My name is Bill Gallagher, scalingcoach.com and host of the Scaling Up Business Podcast. We'll talk to you again next time. Thank you.
