7 Tips For Recording Videos That Attract Your Ideal Patients!

Billy Sticker and Brady teach chiropractors how to use short videos to attract patients. They cover seven tips: keep videos short, record for one person, market wants not needs, use minimal equipment, and be animated. They share a script framework (problem, agitate, solution, call-to-action) and strategies for batching content and running ads.

Okay, can everybody see this? Thumbs up. My screen is now shared. Correct.
You're all good.
All right. Very good. Okay, so we're talking about seven tips for recording videos that attract your ideal customer. This is one of my favorite topics to talk about over the years that we've had the podcast. This is also one of the number one topics as far as the most downloads on all of our podcasts too. People want to know, what type of videos do I make? How do, what can I do to make the best videos to really attract not just everybody, but, you know, attract your ideal patient. Because that's one of the biggest complaints we get when it comes to or what we hear people talk about, you know, Facebook leads. They're just low quality. So what can you do to attract high quality people? Now, everybody has value. We get it. But I'm sure you understand what we're saying. People that will actually accept care, be your ideal patients. That's what we're going to be covering. So we're going to cover why videos are so powerful. The main core of this is going to be the seven different tips for recording the videos. We're going to talk about scheduling your videos, recommended equipment. We're going to go over the past script that I talk about a lot, plus even more. So real quick, who we are. I'm actually the founder of Chiro Candy, Brady. Do we have it recorded? Okay. I'm the founder of Chiro Candy. We're a multimillion dollar ad agency for chiropractors. We didn't start off that way. We started off as we had the podcast and I just wanted to provide value to the profession. And we were helping some chiropractors write books. And probably in 2015, one of our clients we wrote a book for asked us about helping with Facebook ads and we gave it a shot. It worked really well. He started referring people and now we are. I mean, it won't be long here. In the next few months, we should break over 300 active accounts with his chiropractors all over the US and then even some other parts of the world. But Brady and I co authored the book Tribe of Patients. I used to work in a multiple location chiropractic office. I did all the marketing. I was the one that was out in the community. I would do the screenings. I would do our workshops out in the community. I did our in office workshops. I did. Then I started doing our day ones and day twos and would, you know, basically close them on care plans, if you will. The only thing I didn't do was adjust or any of the insurance stuff. In office we had somebody else that handled that. Obviously the chiropractor adjusted but we use the pro adjuster so I probably could have even figured that out. But I've had the honor and privilege to speak at different chiropractic events in chiropractic schools all over the US I've spoke to a group of chiropractors in London and in Paris before 3 time 2 comma club award member. This is just saying we know what we're talking about. So I want to respect everybody's time, have worked and are working with hundreds of chiropractors. On our website you can see tons of testimonial videos. But our goal is to help chiropractors spread their message to and generate high quality new patients. This is our team. You can see right here everybody is here in the US As a matter of fact, pretty much everybody's here in Texas except Alex, he recently moved to Louisiana. But everybody else is actually even here in Texas. But I want you to stay all the way to the end. At the end I'm going to give you access to this video content brainstorm sheet which will allow you to help map out and schedule all your content ideas for your video. So make sure you stay tuned to the end and I'm going to give you access to this. But real quick, I want to go over our proven system, what we do, but I want you to understand this. We have people on that are already our clients and we have a lot of people that are not our clients and that's fine. I would love for you to do business with us, but even if not, this is still stuff you can do on your own. So these are things that if you have the time and the manpower, you can still do these things. But I just want to share with you what we found works the absolute best when it comes to attracting your ideal patients in getting your message to your community. So when somebody comes on with us, we have an onboarding where we're getting access to, you know, their ads account, things like that. We give them access to our training. Now this isn't a long training. We, we know you're busy and you're hiring us to do it for you, but we want, we want you to have the best results. So we have, this is broken down into two sections. Training for the CAS on how to get the best results, following up with the leads and then for the doctors on the videos. And this is what we're going to Talk about today is all these different videos that you can do. But we normally start off with an offer. Everybody does this. This is what most people, agencies, this is all they do is a new patient offer and that's it. Well, the problem is anybody that responds to this, they're just saying yes to the offer. Once you start doing these videos, which what we're going to talk about, you can build an audience of people who start to know, like and trust you. Then when they see the offer, they're saying yes to the doctor, they're, they're saying yes to your staff, to your office, instead of saying yes just to the offer. So when they come in, they're much more likely to accept care, refer, understand why they're there and what it is you do. So that's our process. But I want to share with you a story real quick of a video we did for one of my chiropractors. When I still lived in Lumberton, Texas, I was diagnosed with a Chiari malformation after a head on motor vehicle accident back in 2012. Was diagnosed at the end of 2012 with the Chiari malformation, had surgery in 2013, so on and so forth. Then my youngest son Brendan here in this video, he was having severe headaches and we took him to the pediatrician just to make sure he didn't have a Chiari malformation. You know, that's normally caught at a young age and it's not hereditary. But still he was having such bad headaches. The teachers would call, hey, just letting you know he's sitting at the desk with his trash can next to him again because he was feeling nauseous all the time. Well, the pediatrician said, had a CT scan, came back clean. He said, here's what I want you to do. At the onset of any headache, give him 400 milligrams of, of ibuprofen. No, sorry. You know, he was eight, nine at the time. I think he had just turned nine, I was about to turn nine. And I mean yes, he has two kidneys, but we want both of them. As long as you know, he can use them. Right. We're not going to give him that much ibuprofen. No. And so he went to the chiropractor that I was going to. Now I understand he should have been under care already. My fault. But just during the exam he could tell his atlas was shifted and sure enough, just a handful of adjustments and it dramatically improved his headaches. Well, he's not going to make a testimonial video by himself. Right. So this is a screenshot of the video we made, kind of sharing the story about how much it improved his headaches. Well, we ran this in our town, town of about 25,000 people, you know, outside the city limits we were targeting. And we ran it for about 30 days. We weren't doing any of the retargeting or stuff we do now. It was just a video to kind of a big audience. And we had people, like two different times, total strangers came up to him. One time he and I were walking through Walmart and somebody walked up to him and said, hey, buddy, how are those headaches? Another time, we were in a Mexican restaurant in town and somebody walked by the booth and pointed at him, hey, man, how are those headaches? And he looked up and he said, dad, I think I am famous. Well, I say all that to say this was one video that we did in our town that just ran for a month. What if you are doing these videos consistently now, you're the one when people are at the restaurants and they're like, oh, that's that doctor that's always doing those videos. And that's what we want. We want people to recognize you as the authority in your market. And even if there's tons of other chiropractors in your town, you will always have people that resonate more with you just because of who you are. And that's where these videos really come in. So real quick, if you've seen any of the other webinars we've done so far this year, we've talked about this before. This is the pyramid of awareness, right? So at the very bottom, people are unaware. These are the people who, they don't even realize. They don't have back pain. They don't know it's an issue. And then you have problem aware. And then as you go up to the top of this pyramid, they're solution aware, product awareness, and now they're most aware, like they're aware of you, what you do, how you do it, all this stuff. Well, if we turn it upside down, it becomes a funnel. And what we want to do is take people in your community and we kind of want to work them through this funnel, and we do that through these videos. Now, when you're first reaching a cold audience, this is. It's a longer funnel length, It's a longer sales or marketing process that you need when people are totally unaware because you have to educate them. I like saying it like this. What if most of our favorite patients are the Ones who come in from referrals. I think we all would agree those are great patients. And normally your patient education doesn't start till your day one, day two. And if you look at your favorite patients that have been with you a while, they're the ones who are compliant, who are there every time, they never miss an appointment, they refer people, they, they get it right. They drank the Kool aid. Well, that's because they've been educated. Well, what if you can start that education instead of once they come in? What if you started it a couple of weeks or a couple of months before they ever even come in? And that's what we're wanting to do. So as we do these videos, people become more and more aware and then they're ready to come in. They're most aware. And even up here, when you're just going after these people that are unaware, it takes, you know, a low price offer. But the people that are most aware, these are the people that are going to pay the most so you can use a much higher, you know, priced offer. So let's understand, you know, why videos are so important. People begin to know, like, and trust you. They know what you do, how you do, why you do it. We get to use these videos to build a retargeting audience, but it allows you to build massive authority. And then probably most importantly, we get people to say yes to the doctor instead of saying yes to some offer. So here's an example of a friend of mine. It's not a chiropractor. He is actually, he used to be the drummer for Big Daddy Weave, which is a Christian, a Christian group. And he is a personal friend of mine. We were actually messaging last night. I was telling him that I was using him as an example on this. But he is no longer with Big Daddy Weave. He's now in real estate. He lives in Mobile, Alabama and he just started in real estate last April. So it's been right at a year. Well, he starts making these videos and these are just some screenshots of some of the videos that he's made. Like here's one, you know, prepping for a photo shoot. And if you look, I don't know how well you can see it, but this video is under two minutes long. Here's one that was only 47 seconds, but it's New York Pizza in Mobile, Alabama. So he's talking about, you know, hey, where's the best place to get a New York style pizza? The best location to build your dream home? You know, here he's explaining what the lockbox is here. And these are all under. Here's a screenshot of several videos. They're all. I think the longest one is this one, and it's three minutes, but it's all this different stuff. If you go to his YouTube, remember he just. He's only been in real estate a year. He has over 2,000 people, and the title of his page is Living in Mobile, Alabama. All of these videos are like 12 to 15 minutes long. But he is dominating his community just because of this. And in one year's time, he's become the top producer for Keller Williams in Mobile, Alabama. And he's done it in one year through video. And obviously we have chiropractors that do things very, very similar. But I was just so, just so impressed with what he's done in a single year and how well he's done it. I think it's good to even look outside of the profession to see what other people are doing. But he's absolutely dominating his community. So let's get into the key or the core of what we're going to be talking about here. Let's get into. If you're going to take notes, this is where you need to start taking notes. So tip number one is keep the video short, okay? Now, on YouTube, yes, they can be longer, but the videos that you do on Facebook and Instagram and just for your normal stuff, they need to be short videos. If you can keep them under a minute and just, you know, have as much content as you can, you know your main point in there, that's great. You want to really keep them under three minutes every once in a while. If you want to do one that's five or six minutes, it's okay. But people aren't going to Facebook looking for a chiropractor. They're going to Facebook looking for see what's going on with friends and family and things like that, it's not a place they go looking for you. But if you can get your message in front of the right people and we can get them to engage with your content, that's what we want. But you're going to have to keep those videos short. So you want to keep them short. So the points to keeping them short is you need to know exactly what it is you're going to say. I'm not saying you have to have it scripted, but you need to know your main points as soon as you hit record. You do not want to have a long intro. In other words, you wouldn't Want to start off, you know, hello, this is Dr. Billy Sticker, and I'm in the Woodlands, Texas. I'm actually a chiropractor here at, you know, XYZ Chiropractic. And today we're going to be talking about this. Well, I just lost 10 to 15 seconds that I didn't need to cover. Okay. Whenever they see your video, they're already going to see your business page's name right above it. So you can just simply say, hey, guys, Dr. Billy here. And headaches are not normal, but they're far too common. And today we're going to be talking about cervical issues and headaches, and most people don't understand. And then you go in to your key content. All right, so you want to get straight to it, and you also don't want to have a long call to action at the end. What we want to do for. Well, I'll get into this to the next step. You know what, Here, we'll talk about it here.
One thing I want to add to that. How have you heard the social media platform that's been getting really popular recently? TikTok. Right, TikTok. It's like the new Vine. It's really popular in younger millennials and Gen Z. Well, the thing about TikTok, kind of going back to that last point Billy had is there's, it's. Every video is less than a minute long, and so there's no long intro. And people that focus on, like, TikTok marketing, their big thing is you have to hook your audience in within the first two seconds, otherwise you're going to lose them. So instead of a long intro going over what the video is over, you could literally have it in just a few seconds going, how do you get relief from headaches without medicine? Watch this video to find out and then go into the content of your video.
Yes. And yeah, and you can still, you know, you can still have a call to action. So at the end, it just needs to be short. It doesn't need to be a sales pitch. You know, for example, if you're doing one on cervical issues and headaches. Listen, if you or anyone you know are having issues with headaches, we would love to see if we can help, you know, call our office or reach out. But what we do, and we actually got this several years ago from this guy, Anthony Decompendi. I don't know who may know him, but you would almost think he's a chiropractor. He wrote a book called Biohacking, and it hits his his whole message is all about this wellness lifestyle. But he's always doing different videos. Like once or twice a week he's doing a different video and at the, so he'll describe his video and then he has this, you know, get your copy of my free book. Now he has this call to action, basically copied in the notes on his phone. And when he does his, you know, post, goes to post his video, writes the short description and then he just copies and paste that in all his videos. Whatever. Call to action. Sometimes it's going to a website, sometimes it's, you know, going, you know, to get his book. But he has built a seven figure business and this is how he does his marketing. Just video content like this. So, so you want to keep it short, but you always want to give them what to do next, right? So that's why you want to put something like in here. So what we do with our clients is we'll put, you know, new patients. Click here to schedule. That's it. Very, very simple. Key number two is you want to keep a list of ideas. This is another thing that people are always asking. It's like, okay, I don't mind doing videos. What do I do a video about? I need some content ideas. So what you want to do is keep a list of what you want to make these videos on. So what you can do. We actually, what we do for Chiral Candy, we have a shared list. And it's not everybody in our company. We just have some of the key leaders that share this list and anytime they have an idea, they'll add it to this list. So we have a list of about 20, close to 20 different video topic ideas that I'm going to be shooting videos on over the next couple of months or whatever. But when it comes time for me to record, I don't have to scratch my head and think what am I going to do one on? I just look at the list and I'll pick whichever one I feel like doing that day. So things that you can cover is now you can have a shared list. You can do like the notes on the iPhone. That's what we do. You can have a Google spreadsheet that a couple people have access to that they're putting different ideas on. We're actually at the end, I'm going to give you that link that's going to have a bunch of samples and some content ideas for you on there. But anything if somebody asks a question, that's something that you can do a video on. Because if they have that question, if that patient has that question, there's a good chance other people have that question. You know, you could do the top five things that every new patient asks. Then you could do the top five things I wish a new patient would ask. Any, anything that you feel is a vital message in your office. That's, that's what you want to do the videos about. All right, so here is a sheet. This is what I'm going to give you access to here in a little bit. But you can talk about, you know, different things that you're an expert on, different conditions, different trends going on, you know, things going on in the, in the news right now. If you can somehow take your message and hook them with what's going on in the news, those make great videos. You can collaborate. So you can actually have other people that are leaders in your town, whether you know, the mayor or, you know, some different business owners. You can shoot videos with them in it. These are going to help, you know, attract people, get them to stop what they're doing and watch your videos. So whenever you get this, you'll see some samples and then there's two different tabs and then you can actually map this out and have an idea of what you want to like. These are themed. So this was just a sample, you know, February, you may want to do stuff for low back March, stuff on sleep, exercise, headaches, nutrition, whatever. But you don't have to do it like this. But sometimes that helps. I know most churches nowadays, they'll have a theme for the whole month where when I was growing up, you know, every Sunday was a different message, but now they tend to stick on one theme for a series. So you could do the same type of thing. You can have a series on these different topics. This is a great resource.
Real quick, series videos, let's say for the month of May, you're talking all about headaches and you don't want to name it. Welcome to episode three of our headache series. Right? Because if that's the first video I see, I'm automatically going to think, oh, I haven't seen the first two episodes, so I'm going to automatically exclude myself and I'm not going to watch the video. Right? So you can have different videos on the same topic, but you want them to be able to stand alone to where instead of saying, all right guys, this is the third video in our headaches topic. No, instead of doing that, I would just say, hey, guys, today we are talking about why it's important to stay hydrated to Avoid headaches. That's an example I would do. So just keep that in mind when you're doing those types of series.
Great point. So here, this is a website called Answer the Public. And what you do is you just type in a keyword. So chiropractic. And it'll give you all these different things that people are searching for. And so it's a great way to just get ideas. So let's say you did chiropractic or you did headaches, nutrition, exercise, wellness, sleep, ergonomics. There's all kinds of things that you could just search for and see what people are searching for, and it'll help give you different ideas to do content on. All right, so it's a great tool. Just answerthepublic.com Key number three is you want to change it up, right? You don't want to be. I see some chiropractors that do this. They do video. They don't mind doing videos, and it's okay content, but they're in the same place in their office every time they do a video. You don't want to do that, even if you're wearing a different shirt. On a subconscious level, as soon as people see it, they'll think, oh, I've already seen that one. So you want to change things up. That's not to say you can't make a couple of videos being in the same spot, but the first goal is to get them to stop scrolling. You have to capture their attention. And so you don't want it to look like all the other videos you've done. You want it to be something different. So here's a good example. This is one of our clients, and I use this example so much, I even need to go. Just because he's been with us for so long. I need to find some other. Other examples, too. But Dr. Travis was actually one of the first doctors that we did this with. And in three months, he built an audience size of over 10,000 people in his town. And look at. This is like over a month. These are just different videos. He did one with a newborn getting adjusted. And you can imagine the comments, the engagement this video got. You know, oh, my goodness, why would you adjust a newborn? And then he was able to get on there and kind of educate why. And he actually explained it in the video. But it was very, very engaging and helped jumpstart building this audience. He did one on Bulletproof Coffee, one on, you know, like, cervical issues. He hired a new associate. He did one introducing the associate. But they're all different. And he's in different spots in each one of these. So whenever it comes to changing things up, you want to use props. You know, use props. You want to use the spine. You want to use a nerve chart or, you know, in front of some X rays or a whiteboard. That's a great one. Or just being out in the community, you can be going for a walk. I do this one a lot. I'll be, you know, out somewhere in the neighborhood, just going on a walk, and I'll record a video. But they're always. I always try to change things up because you want to capture their attention. So you can use props. You can actually use people, too. You know, you can have your ca and maybe you're explaining something with, you know, or showing an adjustment or whatever, but you can use different people to people and props. Number four is you want to record for an audience of one. A couple of main reasons you want to do this is a lot of people get nervous when they first start recording videos, and it's because. Two reasons. It's because you think you were standing on a stage speaking to everybody in your town. And you don't want to sound like that. You want to sound like you're talking to one person. So it just. You're more genuine when you're making this video to one person. When it's an audience of one. What we recommend is. Let me back up a little bit. Another reason you get nervous is because you're afraid of your peers. I know playing guitar. I play guitar. And really the only time I get nervous on stage is. Is when I know there's other guitar players watching.
Right?
That's when I get most nervous. Same thing with you. When you do a video. I understand you're going to get nervous on. What are other medical professionals or your healthcare professionals going to say about this? What are other chiropractors going to say? Forget it. Okay. You know, more than 98% of the population out there or more on whatever topic you're speaking on. So when you do it to an audience of one, we like to say act like you're recording a video for a referral. Right. One of your favorite patients is sending in a referral, but they had a question on xyz. Cervical issues and headaches. That's just such an easy one we use as a sample all the time. So they had a question about that. So you were doing this video to educate them on that one point. Another great way to think about it. If you don't want to think about it as a referral. Think about it as somebody in your friend group, you know, somebody that you hang out with, and they just don't know that much about chiropractic. You do a video to them explaining whatever it is, you know, whatever that topic is. So those are just some good mindset ideas. When you watch these videos, even the videos, Jeff Jones, did you know the realtor? It's. It's like he's talking to one person. And that's what you want. It comes across as more authentic. And this is what's going to help set you apart from other people in your community, because people are going to resonate with you and you want to be as you. As you can be, if that makes sense. You don't want to be somebody else. You want. You want to be genuine. Tip number five is wants versus needs. People spend more money on what they want than what they need. And you want to. When it comes to marketing, you want to advertise what it is they want. And I actually talk about this here. You want to market to what they want, give them that and what they need. Everybody wants a practice full of, you know, they want their schedules full every day, every week, every month full of wellness patients. I get it. But if you start marketing that message to everybody in your town, you're not going to have a lot of people respond because nobody's. Especially if they've never been to a chiropractor. Yeah, I'll sign up for lifetime care. They're just not going to respond to that. So you have to figure out what it is. What topics can you use to hook them into getting into the top of your funnel so that you can start educating them to where they're at, the bottom of the funnel where they're most aware of why they need ongoing wellness care.
Right.
So when you do these videos, just think about that. There's a book, Building a Story Brand. I think I actually have it in the bedroom. I thought I may have had it on this bookshelf, but it's called Building a Story Brand. And it's a fantastic book if you've never heard of it. And it's all about how businesses tend to market or their marketing message tends to be how awesome they are. Nobody cares. They want to know what you can do for them. So in your messaging, in the Story Brand book, he talks about how you want to think of people like Luke Skywalker. Okay. He actually uses Star wars as an example. And you want to be either Yoda or Obi. Wan, Right? It's not all about you. Your job is, is to help Luke become the Jedi that he's supposed to be. Right? You want to help that person get from there to where it is they want to be. And so your messaging needs to be the same thing. It's just you and you're helping them further along, improve their life. So you want to attract what it is they want, give them what they want and then what they need. Number six, let's talk about some key equipment. Do you need equipment at all? No. Brady, do you want to talk about this? Oh, you're muted.
Yeah. One of the things that I found is, and this has to do with equipment and just in general, a lot of people will use that as an excuse to not make videos. Like, oh, you know, I don't have the fancy ring light tripod, so I'm not going to make the video right now. I want to wait till I set some time aside to order that or oh, I need a new microphone or oh, I want this, I want that. No, like, honestly, this isn't required. We only put this list together because people have asked for it. Right. This is kind of our step number five, want versus need. We're giving you what you need and we're giving this to you because it's what you want. Right. Don't let this be a crutch. And so obviously you can use your smartphone. Like, like my iPhone can record 4K video. That's really good video quality. Like the TV in my living room is a 4K TV. So you can get really good quality video just with your phone. But the lighting is important too. Like right now I've even got a ring light set up and then have a window open in my office just to get some good light in here. And then obviously having a lapel mic that can plug up to your phone to get some good audio. And then dad really likes that gorillapod. I want to show you guys my.
This is what I like.
So that's his recommendation. I like this. This is a gimbal. They're like 80 bucks on Amazon. They're super. This is literally not necessary at all. I just love it because it's awesome. It gets great. It's very stable video. I'm literally getting a phone call right now from our Kairo Candy number. But I can get really good video and it stays completely still. Super, super cool. Especially when you're out in the community. But this is like 80 bucks on Amazon. Great investment for when you want to make video like that. But you can also get that Gorillapod, but that's just called an iPhone gimbal or a smartphone gimbal. You can get those on Amazon.
So you don't have to have a lot of equipment. We definitely do not recommend getting a DSLR camera to record your videos because it's so much work. To record your videos done is better than best, right? You just, just get it done. So whatever is going to be the easiest as possible for you, do it depending on where you're recording your videos. Okay, let's say that you were only going to buy one thing here. I would say the lapel mic. You want to make sure you have good quality audio. You can have the best message and the best lighting and everything. But if they cannot hear what you're saying, then they're not going to watch the video. So the audio is one of the most important things there. So you want to make sure you do have good audio. You don't necessarily have to have the lapel mic depending on where you're shooting. But if you're outside doing something in the community, you're probably gonna want something that's gonna be more directed just at, just at you.
And another thing on that same note, if you go and hire a professional videographer and you make your videos with background music and you've got your logo animated on there, and if it looks like a professional commercial, no one's gonna watch it. Guys, I haven't watched a commercial since we got TiVo in 2009. Who likes watching things that look like ads? No one. So you don't want your videos to look like a commercial. You don't want it to look overproduced. We don't recommend adding background music, we don't recommend adding your logo animation. Don't do that because then it looks like an ad. And whenever I see an ad on Facebook, I don't even give it two cents. I scroll past it. You don't want your videos to look like ads, you just want them to look like organic content on social media.
Yes, that's good. That's what people are used to seeing. The videos they're used to seeing are selfie style videos that their friends are making. So that's what you want to do there. So we, we have had some people ask about different types of things. So the, if you wanted to do something a little bit different. Can y' all still see this?
Right?
This is called Clip Scribe and it allows you to just take your videos and make them meme style. This is not necessary. But it is. It is kind of cool if you wanted to do this every once in a while, or if you just record your videos and you had one of your team members do something like this. You don't have to do it, but I've started doing more like this just to change it up. And so we at least wanted to tell you what it is, because we know we're going to have some doctors say, well, I thought we weren't supposed to do all the fancy stuff. This is real simple. You definitely do not have to do it. Okay, so step number seven is you want to be more animated. You want to turn it up just a notch. So let's say that on a scale of 1 to 10, you're normally a 5. When you're talking to a patient, your energy level is normally a five. On camera, you need to turn it up to a six or seven. You need to be just a little more animated. I don't even know if animated is the best word there, but I think you understand what I'm saying. You need to give a little bit more than what you normally would, because something about video, you just kind of lose a little bit of that same thing on the phone. A lot of times if you're talking with somebody on the phone, you. You kind of want to be up a little bit compared to, you know, since they're not seeing your body language on the phone. But with videos, you just want to be. You don't want to overdo it. You definitely don't want to sound like a mattress salesman. Right. And there's some big, special Labor Day going on. Not that. But you just want to be a little bit more Brady. Do you think I'm saying that right? Does that make sense?
Yeah. Have a little bit more energy than you normally would, smile more than you think you normally would. I've been told I talk too fast, so maybe slow down when you talk, but smile and have energy, if that makes sense.
So you just want to, you know, turn it up just. Just a little bit. So let's talk about this. This is just kind of a little bonus schedule when you're going to do your videos. So right now, here's what I want you to do. We're going to wait. I want everybody to grab your phone, open your calendar, and pick the next time you're going to record a video. And it needs to be the same time every week. Just do that. And in the chat, I just want you to hit give me a number one. Once you've scheduled, when you're going to do it. Because what happens is all this is great, but if you don't do anything with it, what does it matter? And what's. What's on your calendar tends to get done. So for me, I normally do videos on Wednesdays at 10 o'.
Clock.
That's just whenever I do my videos every week, I know I'm going to be somewhere doing something, recording a video. So pick a time, whatever it is. And you can also batch content if you want it, so you can record a couple of videos during that time. If you are going to do a couple of videos, make sure that you're changing your scenery, all right? You maybe even want to get a different shirt, you know, and you can do two videos with the same shirt on. But after that you may want to, you know, put on something different if you're going to do three or four videos at one time. But you can batch your content. Like I said, change it up. Use the content brainstorming worksheet, which I'm getting ready to give you access to, and then schedule it out, you know, not just when you're going to record the videos, but have a schedule of, you know, themes or whatever on what you're going to cover. So let's recap real quick. We want to keep the videos short. Brady, is that you writing on here?
Nope, it's you. Or that's already there.
Huh, that's weird. Keep the video short. Keep a list of ideas, which is what we talked about. Well, all this stuff so we talked about, but this is one of my favorites is just because I don't mind doing videos. I know to change it up, but the. My biggest obstacle that I normally run into is what am I going to make a video on? And whenever we started doing this, it was a game changer because it just makes it so much easier. Change it up. You want to record to an audience of one wants versus needs. So when I'm doing a video, it's not about what I think. I mean, I want to make sure I'm doing videos that are going to attract chiropractors and make them want to watch the videos, key equipment, if any, and then be a little more animated. So now that we know some of this stuff, I probably should have just done a separate slide for this, but I wanted to put this on here. If you've seen a lot of my other content, this is something we talk about a lot. It's so simple. And this is just a great script framework for any of your messaging, whether it's writing an email. Even when we're writing ad copy. Brady talks about this a lot. We'll sit down and this is how we write our ad copy. We address the problem, agitate that problem, lay out the solution, and then a small take action, you know, call to action at the end. I want to make sure we say small, because the last thing you want to do is have great content on whatever it is. And then the last 10 to 15 seconds of the video, you know, you put on your furniture salesman hat, you know, but wait, and then you totally don't. Just don't do that. All right? It's just not very professional whenever it comes to what we're trying to do. So problem, agitate, solution, and take action. Even whenever we're helping our. When we're writing books for chiropractors and we're working with them coming out with the outline, this is the same formula we use. What's the problem the book's going to address? We want to agitate that problem, and then the majority of the content is the solution. And then we have some kind of take action, you know, call to action in there as well. So that's that. So on this, this is where you get this info, this video content brainstorm. You go to chiralcandy.com video-stormstorm and Brady, we put that in the chat.
Yep.
Just so you guys can grab it out of there. But you'll have that. And there's. Remember, there's two different tabs. We have some examples on there of where you can write down different ideas. And then the other page is actually more of a calendar where you can, if you wanted to, map it out that way, for the whole year.
All right. Hey, we've got a question in the chat I want to address. Do you recommend that we boost videos posted to our Facebook page? So I'm gonna give you two answers. One for chirophany clients and one for non coyote candy clients. So if you are a chirophany client, you're paying us to manage your ads for you, I wouldn't worry about boosting your own videos. Reach out to our team, reach out to your account rep, and we will add that new video that you posted on your page to the Rolodex of different videos we're promoting for you. Now, if you're doing your own ads, then, yes, you definitely want to make sure you're putting some kind of budget behind your videos. Otherwise, people aren't gonna see them. Right. You can make all the best videos in the world. But if you're not doing anything to get them in front of people and you're just putting them on your page, they're just gonna sit there. The average Facebook page has a reach of under 7%. So if you have a hundred people that like your page, only seven of them are gonna see every post you put out there. And then it's probably safe to say to those seven people, or our patients or your friends and family. So don't just post videos and let them sit there. Either reach out to Kairo Ganny, reach out to your account rep, and we'll make sure we get that promoted, or you can go in and do your own ads and take care of that yourself.
Yeah, that's good. As far as boosting, you can boost it, but you really want to go into the back end. If you can learn a little bit about Ads Manager, building an audience in there is. It's going to be much more powerful and it's going to give you more control on exactly who you can target and what different audiences. Because the whole key when it comes to Facebook and Instagram is you get to build dig different ponds of who you want to attract and then fish in those ponds. Right. And so these videos and these ads, that's the bait, right? You're going fishing, but the ponds are all the different audiences. This could be people that visited your website, people that watched your videos, people that are engaged with your page in the past, things like that, or just a lot of times, the first audience we go after when we're running an ad or even promoting a video is typically a radius around an office. Sometimes we may target specific zip codes, but it's some type of radius. But we normally go for women 30 to 35 and older in that area. Some people are like, why don't you target men? Well, retargeting and stuff. We will. But a lot of times, if you're like most offices, 65 to 70% of your patient load are female in that demographic. And then half of the men that come in are normally coming in because of the female in the relationship. That said, hey, you need to go see the chiropractor. So if that's true, we want to spend most of the ad dollars targeting that, you know, that audience. We've got somebody somehow. That's odd. It's writing all over the screen and it's not me. Okay, so if you want to schedule a call with us, you can just go to chiralkandi.com forward/schedule to schedule a call. You can also go to Cairo candy marketing.com to see some of these testimonial videos and things like that. But are there any other questions that we can address. Looking on here? Can you share the info for the realtor? Okay, you just did that. Yes. Jeff Jones. Now, obviously there's a bunch of Jeff Jones, but he's in Mobile, Alabama, is where he's at. Adjusting videos are great. You know, if you want to do an adjusting video, you can either do it. We've had people where they'll do like, you know, we saw earlier, just a newborn getting adjusted, kids getting adjusted. We had a client one time, and it was a great video. They had. They do a lot of pediatric stuff, and they had a little kid, I'm guessing, I don't know, maybe five years old, and he was standing next to the doctor next to the table. And they had Buzz Lightyear. And so Buzz Lightyear got an adjustment first, and then the little boy climbed up on there and got an adjustment, and they made this video, and it was great. All right.
Dr. Paul asked about the cost of our services. So we do have a few different programs depending on your office and kind of what you need. But our main monthly program starts at just 5.95amonth. So I would recommend hopping on a call with us so we can kind of figure out what's going to be best for you and your practice, and we can go from there. I'm going to send a link to Dr. Michael Travis Facebook page in the chat. So you guys have that.
All right. Somebody asked, can we talk about weight loss medically supervised? Brady, do you want to talk about this? So everybody wants to lose weight, but everybody is so jaded by the messaging, and so you have to. It doesn't work as well on Facebook as other things. Even though it's something everybody wants, it's hard to attract them. Do you want to talk about any of. Any of that, Brady?
Yeah, I'm just bad at multitasking, so I'm trying to get this face.
Okay.
Sorry. Yeah. So with. Got it. So, yeah, as far as weight loss programs, the thing you've got to realize is exactly what dad just said. So many people are being told different things whenever it comes to weight loss, and so you just want to be as authentic as possible. And so with that being said, Facebook is very, very specific on what you can and can't do when you're running ads. Like, you can't show before and after picture. You can't talk about guaranteed lose X amount of weight Right. And so there's different things that you can do. A lot of the times we recommend, like I said, being authentic and then offering even just like a complimentary consultation in your office, things like that, we can get relatively good results. That's not my favorite campaign to run. If you are doing some kind of weight loss, we found that getting a machine like a lipo laser or contour light, those have tended to work. Those ads were better than if you're just doing a doctor supervised weight loss program. So those are my recommendations for that.
Let me touch on that real quick too. So we have noticed our clients that have some, like Brady said, like the lipo light or red light, contour light, it gets people's attention. When they see it, it's different. And so people are always looking for a new opportunity, right? A new way to do something. That's why people try all these different weight loss things, because they're looking for something new and they see it and it's just like it gets their attention. And so a lot of times people will use that as a hook, get them into the office and then from there go on to explain what, you know, what they do. But so with videos, Facebook doesn't search the videos like they do the text. So if you're just writing an ad, for example, and you're talking about, you know, lose 20 pounds in 30 days, guaranteed, you can post that on your page. You cannot put money behind that. You cannot boost that or, or turn that into an ad. It will automatically get rejected because they just know their keywords that they, that their program will search for and it won't get approved. On videos, you have a little bit more leniency. Like there's some of those things that you can say, but just be aware that sometimes they will scan those videos and, and you'll. And they could disapprove that ad after it's been going for a while. Because whenever you upload a video, there's an option for them to automatically put captions on the video. So it's like they know they can read the captions so they know what all is being said in there. So you want to be careful with that. Should we get a release to sign? Sign for adjustment videos? I know a lot of people have stuff like that on their new patient forms. You know, they'll have a little box on there, but it's probably a good idea. We are not attorneys, but even if you. Our thing is, if it's obvious, you know, that they know they're being recorded Then it's okay.
But don't hide a camera in your office. I've seen a lot of people do is, you know, they're recording the video, and at the very beginning of the video, they'll say, all right, Lucy, are you fine with us recording this video? And then as long as there's a verbal consent on the video, and then just trim that part out whenever you go to post it or start recording a separate video, Just that way, as long as you have something there. Again, this is not legal advice. We are not attorneys. Check with your state, with your board, whatever you need to do to make sure you're good there. But that's what I've seen some people do. Yeah. And then is it recommended to keep under two minutes? My rule of thumb is one to two minutes, no longer than three. That is what I've always said. Now, the thing is, if you can keep it under a minute, great. Sometimes whenever you're setting up retargeting for videos that are under a minute, it doesn't work very well. Because what we do is, me and my team, we tell Facebook, hey, anyone that's watched at least 25% of these videos, let's put them into our tribe. Let's put them in our retargeting audience. Well, if Your video is 10 seconds long, 25% of that's not that much. So you're gonna get a lot of people in your retargeting audience that really shouldn't be there at all. So that's just something to keep in mind. I do need to run out here soon. We just had a newborn, like, two or three weeks ago, and we got to take him to his second pediatrician appointment. In fact, this is my wife calling me saying, hey, you need to go off the webinar and go check on your baby. So, dad, I'm going to make you the host, and we'll let you guys take it from there.
All right, well, that should be it. If you guys have any questions, you know, feel free to reach out to us. If you are already a client and you have any questions about this, feel free to reach out to your rep, and they'll be able to answer anything. But we are always available. We will be doing, you know, continue to do these webinars. As of right now, it looks like the webinar we're going to do for next month is going to be. We're going to break down some specific videos that you can do. So now, we talked about, like, different tips on recording the videos. The next webinar, we're going to say, like, here's some of the key videos you should be recording that could possibly change. But as of right now, that's what we have on our schedule for the next webinar. All right. Debbie Phillips says, I'm not sure who my rep is. Check your email. Just look and see who, who's been emailing you from Cairo, Candy. And if you can't tell, you can email supportirocandy.com and they'll be able to figure out who it is for you. All right. Thanks.
All.
Right.
