Billy Sticker unpacks Psalm 37:4, arguing that "delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart" doesn't mean God grants material wishes. Instead, when you truly delight in God, He places His own desires in your heart, aligning what you want with His will.
It says, delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. I think this has been so misquoted. This does not mean he's gonna give you the house, the car, the pool, the toys, the stuff. No, that's not what he's saying. He's saying, if you delight in me, I will take my desires, and I will put them in your heart. He gives you the desires of your heart, but it starts first with delighting in him. Are you delighting in God?
