How do we know if our desires are coming from God or not? Some people say, follow your heart. This is really, really poor advice. James 1:14-15 says, temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away. These desires give birth to sinful action, And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to death. I thought God wanted to use our desires, right? He does. And you have to remember, what everything God has, the enemy has a counterfeit. Like, that's why our desires are so strong and he uses them so often, because he knows that God wants to use our desires also, but in a good way.
