Billy makes his Chocolate Mocha Visalis shake with ice, milk, shake mix, instant coffee, and baking cocoa. He uses unsweetened cocoa instead of sweetened, adds about three-quarters of a scoop, and blends it in a Magic Bullet. His wife Rusty likes extra ice.
Hey, guys. Billy here. And a lot of people ask what some of our favorite Visalis shake recipes are. So I'm going to make one of my favorites this morning, Chocolate mocha. For this one, you need your shake mix. And we've got the milk, obviously, instant coffee, and then baking cocoa. Not Nestle Quick or anything like that. You want just a regular baking cocoa. That way you don't get all that sugar and stuff from it. So we normally start off with some ice, and it depends on what you like. My wife, Rusty, she likes more ice than I do, but I put about that much in there. And a lot of times we'll use skim milk. Right now we just happen to have 2%, so that's what I'm going to use. And we'll go to about there, which I'm guessing is probably 10 to 12 ounces. I like to put my shake mix in first because sometimes if you start mixing up different concoctions, you'll forget to put the shake mix in. And the shake mix is what makes it taste good. And that's where you're going to get all your nutrients and stuff from anyway. So two scoops of that. I pour this in the lid. It's roughly about a teaspoon. It just depends on how much coffee flavoring that you like. And then on this, I have just one of the scoops that come with the shake mix. This is an older one we had. And I put about 3/4, roughly 3/4, almost all the way full on that. And then we will screw the lid on, make sure it's good and snug. I like to shake it up just a little. Probably don't have to, but that's just something that I do. And then we have the magic bullet blender, And that's about it. And then what I'll do is if I'm heading out, I'll just pour it straight into a shaker and take with me. If I'm going to be here at the house, I typically just pour it in a cup and then I'll drink it with a straw. Yes, I use a straw because if I get some on my nose or my head, I look funny walking around the house trying to lick it off. But that's it. Thanks.
