A speaker discovered the Bible works as a practical instruction manual for daily life, not just religious tradition. They found concrete life hacks in scripture that actually improve things, even when circumstances stay hard. Treating it as a step-by-step guide for personal growth changed how they read it.
And so I just, instead of reading the Bible because I was supposed to, instead of reading the Bible because they said, well, this is what Christians do, I was literally reading the Bible, for lack of a better term, so I could learn life hacks so I could make my life better. Instruction manual. Yeah, an instruction manual. Yeah. To, to like, to make my life better. Like, like even more than an instruction manual, more like a life improvement manual. If you will do these things, your life will be better. And even if your life gets harder, it's still better when you apply the scripture. And so that was the thing that blew me away.
