In this segment of his "Marketing 101" series, Billy Sticker outlines three foundational steps for any business seeking growth: (1) clearly define what you want—your goals and ideal customer; (2) reverse‑engineer those goals by calculating the amount of traffic, leads, or patients needed to achieve them; and (3) become a dedicated student of marketing by studying successful companies, learning how to get eyeballs on your offer, and either applying those tactics yourself or hiring someone to do it. He illustrates the concepts with a chiropractor example, emphasizing that even excellent service providers fail without visibility. Sticker promotes a free marketing guide available at getbillysbook.com, urging viewers to obtain it (covering only shipping costs). He stresses the importance of understanding where target customers congregate, building partnerships, and crafting appealing offers, concluding with a motivational call to make 2014 the best year for their business.

Would reverse engineer it. You know, if you want to see so many patients a week, you know, in your practice, well, how many new patients you're going to need to have, or if you're wanting a better relationship with your kids or whatever it is, or to grow your Internet business, you know, how much more traffic do you need coming in? How do you need, you know, your conversions to go up, whatever that is. And number three is just basic marketing. Marketing 101. This is the key to any successful business. It's so sad when you drive down the road and you see these businesses closing down and you know, they may offer a good product, but the problem is nobody knew they had a good product. That's where marketing comes in. What I want to challenge you to do here, follow me over here is, let's see, some of my books is you've got to figure out marketing. No matter what your business is. You've got to know how to get eyeballs because that's the key. If you're a chiropractor, that's a great example. I've worked with chiropractors for years now. You've got to get your message in front of enough people. You can be the best chiropractor. But if nobody knows what you offer, who you are, or they feel you may be unapproachable, you need to be out there. That's what it's about. This is one of my marketing books on achieving massive business growth. And there's over 50 something steps in here, 50 different ways to market and grow your practice. I actually give this book away for free. You can just go to getbillysbook.com and they'll tell you how you can get a copy. But you've got to be a student of marketing, whether it's Internet marketing, how do you get as many eyeballs to your website, to your offer as possible? You've got to know what you need to do, but you have to be a student of that. You know, going back to the chiropractor example, you spent all this time and money going to school to know how to, you know, the proper health and all this. But now you've got to spend time and money on knowing how to grow your practice, knowing how to market. And it's the same thing with, you know, Internet marketing or whether you're, excuse me, you have a landscape company, whatever it is, you have to become a student of marketing. You've got to study successful companies, people that know what they're doing, study them, follow them, find out what is it that they do? How can you apply that into your business? So that's number three. Number one is know what you want. Number two, reverse engineer. Number three is study and find out. Marketing. You need to know how to market. If you don't, you need to pay somebody that's going to market for you. But it is one of the most key essentials of any business because without marketing, that's where companies fail. So just know how to get the right eyeballs looking at your offer. What's your ideal patient, your ideal customer? Where do they hang out? How can you get in front of them? Who is already reaching your target market? What kind of relationship can you build with this other company that you can get your offer in front of them also? So that's number three. If you want 2014 to be the best year it can be, you've got to become a student of marketing. You've got to know what it takes for people to see your offer and then make an offer that's appealing. And that's something we'll talk more about later. But listen, hope you've got something out of this. Getbillysbook.com show you how to get a copy of this. I'll send it out to you. Just cover couple of bucks for the shipping and insurance. But I hope you guys have a blessed day. Blessed rest of the week and stay tuned. Make sure we've got three videos down.
