In this brief segment of his sermon, Billy Sticker warns that worshiping false gods or idols causes believers to turn away from God’s mercies. He defines a false god as anything placed above God in a person’s priorities. He lists common modern idols such as football games, money, fame, social‑media likes, wealth, material possessions, and even people. The underlying message is a call to examine one’s life, remove these idols, and refocus devotion solely on God.
