Billy Sticker shares a parenting trick he used with his three kids: when they whined or threw fits, he'd hold them close and whisper in their ear. They had to go quiet just to hear what he was saying.

I think it's great you made that comment about, you know, a soft answer. And it just reminded me whenever you were telling the story about your brothers, when our kids were younger, we've got 3 kids, and I normally say we have 2 great kids and then this other one, but let them kids figure out which one's the other one. But no, we got all great kids. But when they were younger and they would be, you know, pitching a fit or whatever, I would hold them and I would whisper in their ear. Mm. Because they have to quit whining. Like, they'd have to be quiet to hear, to pay attention to what you would say. That's so good, bro. And I would just kind of whisper.
