The Bible mentions gold in Eden, but there were no stores or commerce, just Adam and Eve. The speaker argues this wasn't random: gold symbolizes that abundance and opulence are God's natural provision for his children, not something you earn through trade.
Chapters
There's gold in the Garden of Eden. It says there's gold in that land, and the gold of that land is good. Now, there were 2 people in the Garden of Eden, right? What was their relationship to each other? Husband and wife. Husband and wife. How many stores were in the Garden of Eden? None. None. How much did food cost? Nothing. It was free. How many stores were there? Zero. But yet God put gold there, and he didn't just put it there, but he told us it was there. And he didn't just tell us it was there, he told us it was there, and he told us it was good. Why? Now, if, like, if you're watching this and that question, why are all these things true, doesn't come to your mind, you're not thinking about the text. Because I want to know if there's nothing for sale and there are no stores and there are 2 people that are married to each other and there's nothing to buy and everything's free, why do we need gold? Because God wants us to know that opulence and abundance are natural in the environment for the children of the King. So good. It is so good.
