Cardio & Stretch 10-Minute Quick HIIT Workout

A guided 10-minute YouTube workout that alternates short cardio HIIT bursts with active stretch/mobility recovery. The instructor leads five primary movement pairs (each with a higher-intensity cardio option and a lower-intensity stretch/modification) performed in ~40-second intervals, emphasizes choice (low vs high impact), and finishes with hip-opening holds and a brief cool-down and call-to-action.
Moving, get stretched out, get that heart rate up, and you are short on time. Let's go ahead and get some little hip rolls right through here. Here's what we got. We have five moves, and each move has a cardio version. So that's your hit, and it has a stretch version. So I'm going to give you options throughout. I want you to work to your level. Be where you are today. You can take it high impact or low on that cardio. You can get deep in that stretch or keep it kind of light. It is up to you. We got 40 seconds of each. We starting with a little side lunge. Right through here. Join me. So side lunge, this is your cardio. So if you want to keep it low, impact, right through here. If you want to add that little shuffle, you can, if you want to get a little more leg work, sink deep into that hip and get a little lower. It's your workout. I always say, be where you are today. All that matters is that you're here. I always say, be where you are today. All that matters is that you're here. So getting into this movement pattern with a little cardio, with a little hit, we got 10 seconds. And what makes this workout hit is that when then we have that stretch, we have that lower intensity interval of a stretch. Heart rate comes down a little, and then we bring it right back up. 3, 2, 1. All right, so now we're getting into that stretch. Here's what I want. I want you to find what works for you. So we're gonna sink deep. If you want to really get down there, you can take it through there. You can walk your hands here. You can just go side to side. You can come up in between. Find a stretch into that lateral lunge. That works for you. Here we go. So if you want, you can also just think a little bit of a windmill, right? Just like this. You can stay down there, hang into it. You can turn that heel out again. You can drop it low, do what feels good for you. Find what feels good. That's what this workout is all about. And you can hang out for 10, 15, 20 seconds, or you can switch every five seconds. I'm keeping it more of an active stretch today, but it is up to you and what you need for where you are. Again, if you want to just stretch here, here. Three, two, and one. Shake it out. All right, so now we're gonna take it to that inchworm. So your inchworm is a stretch. It's a mobility move. But today we are going to Take it for cardio. So you're going to inchworm it out, inch worm it back. If you want to jump it, you can jump it too. I'll show, but that is our cardio hit. 40 seconds. Here we go. If you're not going to the floor, you can keep it with just a little hinge. I'll show you what that looks like. You can just take it here and reach it up. That's also going to be your stretch. If you want to jump it, you can jump it up, turn it around, inchworm it out. Feel that stretch in your back. So it's cardio and a stretch or just interim it out. You can also take it to your knees. That's always an option too. Your heart rate's gonna get up either way, so you don't have to feel like you have to go super fast. Active recovery here, but heart rate up and breathe. All right, so for your stretch, you can either just get some hamstring stretches through there, or if you can, we're gonna take it down, dog. Now you have a few options. If you want a little core work, you can return to that plank, or you can take a child's pose up to down, dog. Find what you need in between. That works too. Feel that good stretch. I know. I need it too. Back to center. You got 3, 2, 1. Walk those hands back or walk your feet up. Right. All right, so now we're gonna take it to a little reach over. So your cardio is going to go over the top, the chest, and down below, you can go a little tap out, low impact, or you can pick up your pace for a little higher intensity. Here we go. Reach so here. Right and left across. Right and left across your chest, and then low. You can keep it here. If you want to pick up that pace, add a little jump. What do you need? You want a little more legs? Get low, get low. High center again. We're getting mobility right with that stretch, and we're gonna get some stretching and holding right after this. Take it up. Reach, reach. Five seconds to go. Ha. Boom. And relax. All right, here's what we got. So we're gonna take it up. We're gonna hold it here. Back to center. We're gonna not get enough stretching, which is why I try to work it into your workouts. Take it down to the center. Chin to your chest. Big open it up. Reach one arm across. Roll that wrist. Yes. Other arm across that wrist. We're gonna get that cardio back up in just a second. And then reach behind Grab it here. Two more moves, two ways. All right, here's what we got. We're gonna take it with a lunge. You can take it a tap back if you don't feel like getting low. If you want, you can go regular lunge. You can even do a jump lunge if that is where you are today. It's 40 seconds, get that heart rate up. Then we'll take it to a stretch. Here we go. So alternate your lunge either with a little tap if you want to pick up your pace, but not get as low. Tap back. Looks like this. Breathe. Get low. You can even be here. You do you. Maybe your legs are burning from yesterday's workout and you want to keep it. A little more cardio. Right through here. Your workout. You do you. We are almost there. Breathe. Five, four, three, two, and one. All right. One of my favorite stretches. World's greatest stretch. There's a reason it's called that. From the top or from the plank, you're going to take it down to here. You can drop that knee here or keep it up. You're going to take that top arm up. You're going to reach through. You can either step it back up. Same thing this way. Or you can step back to the plank. Join me right here. 40 seconds down. Reach and up. Find what you need. Do you need to hold this spinal rotation a little bit longer? Go for it. Do you need to open up that hip a little more? Go for it. Drop that hip a little more. Whatever you need. If you want to take it from the plank. We're here. Big stretch. You can drop that knee, get a little more hip flexor if you want. Here. 10 seconds to go. Right here. Or from the top. 3, 2, 1. Hips feel good and open, right? We're gonna keep that going. Get a little glutes with it. Here's what we got. We got our mountain climber. You can do it from a plank, or you can do it from a standing position. Low impact or a little bit of a run. Last thing. Climber, right here. Three, two, one. Knees come into your chest. You can tap them in, you can run them in if you want. You can also cross it. So I'm gonna go four and four, center, center. Take it, cross again. If that's not right for you, you can take it to standing. If you'd rather just get straight up cardio and not get that core. Low impact or high, wrap that core. Either way, tilt that pelvis in. We're gonna get those hips working and breathe. Four, three. Huh. Huh? Yes. Three, two, one. Big stretch back right where you are. Join me here. Little wrist stretch. Here's what we got. We're gonna take it to the pigeon. You can either just switch it 90, 90 if you want, just like this, or you can take it up to down dog. Switch through here. Hold a few seconds each time. Last 40 seconds. Here we go. So, pigeon, I gotta turn it this way to show you. Lean over into it here. Flip those knees around or take it to plank. If this feels like too much for you, just find a comfortable position, opening up the hips. You can even sit on the edge of a chair. Get a little cross right through there. Here we go. Down. Take it up. Down, dog. I know we already did that. Down, dog. Hold for at least five seconds or so. Get into that hip. Can even do that. One legged dog, right? Breathe. I know we're gonna take this one all the way, so we're gonna actual full minute of this. Take it here. 15 seconds to go though, and then this workout is done. Breathe. Wherever you are isolated, Perfect for a day that you are short on time. Perfect when you need a little finisher. This one's great because you can get one last little cardio burst and you can also get that extra stretching as well. So check everything out here on the channel.
