A short transcript excerpt from a conversation explaining how THC and CBD differ in pain relief: THC alters perception of pain (producing a 'high'), while CBD is described as treating the source of inflammation and pain rather than changing perception.
I think probably one of the main questions that a lot of people have is what makes it different than products that have thc, which is the part of the plant that gets you high, Right?
Yeah. So thc. Yeah. It's what we traditionally know as the one that impairs you. And it can be more of a body high or head high. And I like to say, and it's layman's terms, but CBD is actually treating the source of an inflammation or the source of the pain, whereas THC is changing your perception of the pain, so you don't feel the pain as much. But it's not really treating the inflammation as much as CBD would. It's changing your perception of it, which is relevant, too, for some cases.
