Want to get a snatched waist? How about a stacked waist? Trust me, when it comes to getting core strength, core definition, and avoiding that tightness and pain in your back, it is all about being able to move in alignment. We often think posture is in our shoulders and our back, but I like to say posture in the pelvis and the rib cage, ending up nice and tall without arching here or rounding here. So stacking the rib cage over the pelvis. We also want to imagine that there are magnets bringing our hip bones together, buttoning up the top of our rib cage, and then zipping up the core, not holding your breath, still able to breathe and move through that. But that's going to put you in the right alignment to really engage your entire core. This is true whether you're doing lower body, upper body. We want to keep the ribs and the hips stacked, doing any core movement, stacking the hips and the ribs in the plank so we're not dropping down or coming up. Or when you're doing core exercises or any exercise on your back, you want to stack the rib cage over the pelvis, maintaining that alignment as you move, you learn to stack your core in any movement. You will feel the difference.
