Amy Schemper shops at Aldi for budget-friendly healthy food, filling her cart with organic produce, greens, frozen fruits and vegetables, affordable fish and chicken, and Greek yogurt. She reminds parents that expensive doesn't mean healthier, and that Aldi's rotating middle aisle often has surprising deals.

Aldi is one of my favorite places to shop as a mom on a budget. They do have organic and locally grown if that's what you're looking for, and this is where we get a lot of our produce, especially things like apples, peppers, berries, things my kids eat a ton of and I put in their lunches. We also like to get our greens and bagged salads. You can also find deals on things like dressings and sauces and pantry staples like quinoa and rice. Dairy items are also really affordable here. We go through cheese and Greek yogurt and proteins that we do often, like fish and chicken. And you know I love to keep frozen fruits and veggies on hand. All in all, better prices for many of our favorite items. And of course, don't forget about that fun middle aisle at Aldi where you might find a random treasure.
