Hello everyone. We'd like to present Bonito for sale. Bonito is a 2007 German sport horse. I found Benito, I think in about 2015 he'd competed up to the the two star level or the preliminary horse trial level in Europe and we imported him here to America. He's co owned by Stephen Blowner and Nancy Hathaway and sadly Stephen passed away earlier this year. So we're in a position where we've just got to unload a few of the horses that he had a stake in. Benito's beautifully bred. He's by a thoroughbred stand called Betel and then German sport horse Mother, which the mother actually goes back to Ramiro Z. And Benito is, is a star on the flat. He's a beautiful mover. He's got three wonderful paces and the judges love him. He, I think he was either first or second after the dressage in the four star short at Plantation last year. He got a score of 28. And yeah, like I said, he's got a beautiful walk trot canter. He's very, very experienced. He's been at the advanced level for a number of years now. So he's very confirmed in all the advanced work. And it's very, very unusual not to be in the first couple of placings after the dressage. Benito's had some wonderful results. He's competed at four star long. He finished in the top 10 at Bromont in the four star long and he's actually won a number of FEI competitions. I first got him, he actually won the Bromont three day event, the two star level, which we call the three star long level. Now, as you see, my pilot, young Michael Pendleton here schooling, he's got beautiful changes. And after having this horse for many, many years, he's just very, very well educated in all the. Unfortunately, I'm recovering from a surgery at the moment. That's why you see my partner in crime, Michael, schooling the horse here. Michael helps me ride a lot of the horses, especially on the flat. He does a good job. He's been with me for a number of years. I've also competed Bonito in pure dressage. He's competed up to third level very successfully. Did this mainly just to improve him for the eventing. But he has gone up against pure dressage horses. In the jumping. Benito's a real jumper. He really cracks his back and very, very good in his hind end,
usually
a fantastic feeling over the fence. He's just got one of the, one of those horses that's got just that natural instinct to pop up in the air and plenty of scope. I've competed Bonito in pure jumping. He's gone around a number of meter, 30 tracks and like the dressage sort of doing that more or less to keep improving him freeze eventing career.
Him.
And young Mike's doing a good job. This would be one of the only handful of times that Mike's actually show jump Bonito. It's usually I'm in on board schooling him over the fences, but Mike's doing a good job here. He's got a lot of power and a lot of scope. And again, we've had him for a number of years. So that there's been a lot of, you know, training and hard work put into his jumping. And yeah, like I said before, the height, height doesn't bother Bonito. He can jump as big as you want. Being about 60% thoroughbred. Benito's got a great gallop he wants to run. You know, my idea would be it'd be a great horse for a young rider that's ambitious, that wants a horse that's a bit of a schoolmaster, that's gone up the levels. He'd also do a rider that wants a horse that's actively competing at the high level, which to be honest, they're a little bit hard to come by. A horse that's competing at the highest level, that's sort of in its prime with no dings in it. Benito's last start was the advanced horse trials at Pinetop in Georgia. He finished fourth. He gave me a great round around the advanced horse trials there. It was a big course built by Derek Degrazio. And Benito's a cross country machine. As long as you point him in the right direction, he's definitely going. He's also a smart horse. He's been around some big horses now like the. The four star long at Bromont is no joke. It sometimes even feels bigger than Kentucky three day event. Benito's obviously fit and well. He's. He was in training. I was hoping to get him to the Fairhill five star, but that doesn't look like it's happening now. And sadly that Steve's passed away. We're sort of unloading a number of horses that Steve had big parts in. Anyone interested in Bonito can come to our farm at any time and have a sit on him. I think Bonito is just a wonderful opportunity for a number of different riders out there. He's a great horse to be around. He's easy to take care of, good to ship, nice in the barn, friendly horse to ride. He's definitely got a lot left. I feel like there's a number of. Number of years at the top level of competition for Benito. He loves to work, he loves to compete. He's just a wonderful guy to be around. So don't miss this opportunity. Like I said before, it's hard to find a horse of this caliber that's for sale with many, many years of competition and training left in him. If you're at all interested in Bonito, don't hesitate to give me a call or send me a text, and I can give you more information on his pricing and all the other small details that are important when you're looking for a horse.
