This YouTube video captures a live English-language commentary of the advanced horse trial segment of the Carolina International event held in March 2022. The two announcers, identified as Speaker A and Speaker B, provide play‑by‑play narration of rider Boyd riding the horse Fernhill Presley. They report the rider’s position (third place), score (30.7, later 50.9 after time penalties), and describe the sequence of obstacles encountered, including fence numbers, water combinations, keyhole, and a hollow. The commentary notes penalties for time, the difficulty of the course, and occasional side remarks about the horse’s string, stall sharing, and ownership (e.g., the horse owned by Nancy Hathaway). The tone is conversational and enthusiastic, aiming to inform viewers of the rider’s performance, course challenges, and scoring updates throughout the trial.

Chapters

Here we are, the Irish, Shelby Annie Eldridge, and she's on South Carolinas here this weekend. Number one. Three. Three. It. It's. Number one. Making his way now to fence two. Nicely done there. Super.
Riding out of the coffin for Timmy. Can you see Boyd back down on the left corner of your screen?
This time he's riding Fernhill Presley sitting in third on a score of 30.7.
So Boyd sits in third place. Fernhill Presley. And this isn't a horse I know as much about. Holly. Do you seem around?
Yeah, a little bit.
He's got so many in his string now, it's hard to keep track.
Yeah, does score in for Joe meyer and Harbin. 10 penalties to add for time. So he goes into third place on a score of 50.9.
So nobody to make it to the time. There was another viewpoint there for you of that early combination on course for Boyd.
Coming now to eight or, I'm sorry, to nine. Foundation of First Health. Keyhole. Jimmy and Claire see Boyd at the bottom of our screen coming to the hollow.
Oh, she'll be having to work before it gets a big jump there.
Water combination on the Course 12, Cordelia's Cove.
It is really nice of you to let these horses have a little canter through the water before they come up here.
Yeah, that's what Shannon and I were saying in the four starts. Helps sit up Boyd. I like that. Boy.
Makes easy work of the Normandy bank there. Looking at the mini pony because he is so tiny.
Do they share a stall at the shows?
Yeah, they go in one stall together.
That's pretty funny. Positive ride there. So the bio is cool. 104 is on course. Second drive here of the advanced horse trial. Owned by Nancy Hathaway. Sam.
