Nicciola KW - Maryland YEH Championship - Oct ‘23
The provided text is a verbatim transcript of a short, multi‑speaker performance captured at the Maryland YEH Championship in October 2023. Eight participants (labeled A‑H) deliver brief, poetic lines in a call‑and‑response style, repeatedly invoking themes of joy, magical feeling, and intense emotion. The piece relies heavily on repetition, vivid color imagery (e.g., “orange green of joy”), and contrasting emotional descriptors such as “joyous sorrow” and “laughing raging.” The overall tone is celebratory and ecstatic, culminating in repeated exclamations of “Hallelujah” and “Sa.” The transcript showcases a collective artistic expression that blends spoken word, chant, and possibly musical accompaniment, reflecting the creative atmosphere of the championship event.
