TikTok is actually testing a new feed of content nearby. It's designed to display local content. You've probably seen hints of this. My FYP has a ton more local content than it used to. Have you guys noticed that? Regardless, the implications of this are massive. Imagine searching restaurants here instead of Yelp, people posting their meals here instead of Instagram, and searching local recommendations instead of going to Google. TikTok is bundling local, social, commerce, and search and poised to become the next great super app if they can pull this off.
