A flywheel is a repeatable loop that gets stronger each time you run it. Interview a guest, produce the episode, extract clips into articles, have them share it, ask for referrals to new guests. Each cycle feeds the next, building audience with less effort.

And so the flywheel in business is what's the system, the repeatable thing that you can do over and over again that gets easier on each repetition. It's a different way of thinking about your creative business than to-do lists, or I'm gonna go do this and I'm gonna go do that, and then I'm gonna go do this other thing. It's saying, let me narrow in on what are the things that continually make me successful and feed one into the other. Let's say that I'm starting a podcast. I can have a flywheel around interviewing a guest, producing the podcast. I can look at the, the best nuggets of that podcast and use it to write an article, blog post, you know, other types of content that's gonna go out around that. What's the next part of the flywheel would be asking that guest to share the content, right? Hey, you know, here's part of the interview. Why don't you share it with your audience? That gets me more followers. And then the final step could be that I'm asking them, who else should I have on my podcast? Who else should I interview? And they're like, oh, you should talk to my friend Brendan. Right. And then it goes from there. And now I'm on a podcast talking to my friend Brendan, and then we go around and we're producing this content, which goes live. And then I'm writing essays off of the things I learned from it, turning into the next guest. Right. So here's the flywheel for building an audience. There's a thousand things you could be doing, but you've chosen to narrow in on this flywheel and keep working it. And it gets easier every single time you do it.
