So the easy way to describe what a DAO is, it's just an organization on-chain. So if you think about traditionally, when you're building a company, an organization, most of us know like a pretty autocratic rule. I'm the CEO of a traditional venture-backed C-Corp, and what I say goes. If you're building an organization on-chain that's community governed, Oftentimes they'll use a governance token to make decisions. So it really is more of a democracy. If you're a user, if you're a builder, if you're someone who's involved with a platform and you have a token that allows you to have your voice heard, you get to shape the direction of that DAO or that organization.
Of course, this begs the question: if DAOs are community-owned and operated, what role will advertisers play?
