You can run a lot faster when there are drums banging behind you, baby. This is a popular saying of marathon runners and world class athletes heading into the final stretch. You can run a lot faster when there are drums banging behind you. This phrase, this statement is about having the sound of support of the hometown crowd behind you, cheering you on to the finish line, rewarding you for all those heavy steps and all that hard won progress. Yes, those drums beating behind you. I love that phrase. Listen, my friend, if you're listening to this podcast episode, it's because Transformation Week has now come to a close and I wanted to give you this gift of talking about what's next. You know, I think there is something so magical knowing that you've got support, that there is momentum now, that breakthroughs and rewards are just yards ahead of you. And as Transformation Week has ended, I thought I'd share some ideas to keep you going. Because I'm always here, my friend. I'm cheering you on. I'm those banging drums behind you. And that's why you're listening to me on the podcast. So let me share some ideas. First, no one wins at life alone. You know, when we admire world class athletes, we often forget they not only have those banging drums supporting them, but they also have higher levels of motivation, higher levels of discipline, higher levels of practice and yeah, higher levels of coaching and support. They certainly don't strive alone and neither should you. So if you do need support and some expert guidance and improving your life, I'm happy to be that expert guidance. I'm happy to be that coach for you. So if you'd like to join my coaching membership, remember, if you sign up for it within the next 72 hours right now, you'll also get the entire recordings of Transformation Week free. That means the videos, the worksheets, the tools, the journals, all you have to do is go to hpxcoaching.com that's HPX, as in the high performance experience. Hpxcoaching.com HPX coaching so let's move on. Here's six reasons that I believe people succeed. And you know, throughout Transformation Week, obviously Denise and I shared some science backed habits that lead to longer term success, longer term career impact, longer term well being and happiness. So what next? What types of people sort of keep at it, keep growing and live truly happy lives? Well, here's some additional thoughts for you. Number one, more Motivation. Desire, Hunger. Will some people simply want success more than others? I mean, it's real to them. Succeeding isn't a preference. It's a necessity. High performers remind themselves of this every single day. They put their why and their goals in front of them. They think about them, they dream of them. They visualize a better life and their dreams coming true and expanding. They have the guts to think bigger, to believe, to demand much of themselves striving. It's just part of their identity. The will to show up in life and just get at it. Yep, that's it. That's it, man. The will to show up and get at it. Number two, momentum. From constancy to practice. You know, successful people, high performers, they practice their art, the skills, the routines, the ideal ways of thinking and behaving more than average people do. I mean, there's literally no way around it, man. They do the work more consistently. So they're learning the edge, the leverage points, the distinctions, the minute areas, that one plus the entire game, you know? Yeah, they rest, they recover, they recharge, they strive without all the stress and insanity that other people experience because they don't have good practices. But believe me, they are always in motion, getting better, paying attention, measuring progress. They're not the kind of people who, like, you know, set New Year's goals and then they work at it for a week and then they quit. All year long. Its vision, goals, focus, practice, work at it, practice, test, get better, practice, improve. Always in the personal development game, always. Number three, better strategy in action through expert guidance and coaching. I mean, this cannot really be overstated. Y', all, like successful people, they get coaches. They invest in coaches. They invest in that because they are humble enough to acknowledge that they can't figure out the next level of success on their own, otherwise they'd already have had that level of success. They'd already be at that level if they knew how. And so high performers invest in coaches because they want the edge. They want confidence, knowing they're striving intelligently. You know, they want to cut their learning curve. They want to know they're not making dumb mistakes. They want perspective so they can anticipate what's ahead and not be surprised. They want accountability. They want smarter ways of living. They want inspiration and confidence. It comes from somebody on your sidelines. They get a coach. And again, if you want me to be that for you, go to hpxcoaching.com hpxcoaching.com you can get in literally right now and receive all of transformation week videos, tools and resources and community for free, as well as listen, if you didn't know, my coaching members also get free seminar tickets to My high performance event. They also get group coaching where they can literally go on the phone with one of my certified high performance coaches and talk about where they should exactly start. So go to hpxcoaching.com Number four, social support. Successful people surround themselves with successful people, period. They seek out people who are positive, who are happy, well adjusted, doing good things, leading their community, making the magic happen. They don't sit alone in their basement hoping that they hit success one day and then they, you know, like, luckily find a better peer group. They get out there in the community. They work for good companies with amazing teams, or if they own their own business, they hire people who are even smarter and more skilled than they are. They volunteer to meet the givers. They network and ask who they should meet, who's awesome. They connect daily with positive people who want to talk about what's right in this world, what's possible, what's exciting. The people around them fire them up. Because they strategically surround themselves with people who fire them up. You know, for me, it's literally my coaching community. They fire me up. I love their chatter. They're cheering on of each other. The results they share, the, the dreams they have, the ambitions that often are frankly even bigger than mine. So if you want to get in, dang it, see us all firing each other up. We have an upcoming session on Friday, so go to hpxcoaching.com, get yourself signed up. You'll get the date and the link and you can join us and watch thousands of people interact. You can learn my strategies for living a more high quality, high performing life, no matter where you're starting from. Number five role models. Listen, what's the last great biography that you read of someone who inspired you? I mean, who do you follow right now that fires you up? You know, what strategies are you deploying that you learn from someone ahead of you? How do your role models think? What do they value? What do they insist upon? What do they practice? What do they espouse? What do they work hard for every day? Listen, no role models means your ego has gone out of check. You know, you think you're alone or superior or different or that no one can understand. So you don't look out there for those who are already crushing it or giving it all or making a bigger impact or who can show you the way. You know, when someone says to me, brendan, I don't have any role models, you know, I reply, you know, it's a shame you're not looking outside of yourself because role Models are everywhere, in every community, in your communities, or if you can't find them there, guess what, they're in documentaries or they're online with some training, or they're an event or a workshop or on social media or, you know, they're generations before you in those things called books. You know, get yourself some role models, my friend. Make it a mission to find them, learn from them, model them, grow, and don't forget to be a role model yourself. Just like we taught you in Transformation week number six, urgency, AKA Death. You know, high performers put urgency upon themselves because they know that life is beautiful. They know that life is rare, it is special, and it's not insured. You know, ever notice how someone suddenly decides to eat better or start working out or taking care of themselves better when they have a health scare? Well, yeah. You know, when you realize life is short, you get your act together, you deeply appreciate your days. And when you deeply appreciate your days, it shows up in your priorities and time management. Show me someone so comfortable they no longer prioritize, know personal development, excellence in giving, and I'll show you someone taking life for granted. And I don't say that to judge. I say it because I've faced my own death enough and I've been with people at their end. You want to win at life, Then realize you're blessed to have one. So live it and love it and make it matter. Listen, you know, if you're tired of striving solo, tired of being stuck with or tired of going too slow, then please join my HPX coaching membership. We call it HPX because again, that stands for the high performance experience in life. You know, the truth is, no one gets to the level, you know, no one gets to the next level without the points you know, I've been talking about in this episode. But look how many of the points I talked about, you know, can be granted to you when you have someone coaching you. So I'd love to be your coach, to push you, to help you, to give you new ways to win and succeed.
