Talk about the last time you really just had three, four weeks of just cranking, you know, heads down super focused world didn't exist. I was gonna kick some butt during those weeks, and every successful person I know can. Oh, yeah, you know what? I just came through that because I just built this new system, or I just came through that because I just onboarded this new team, or I just came through that because my health went away. I had to get back in the game, whatever it is, really successful people. Remember this. You can't expect to get success without a little bit of grind. When you knock on the door of opportunity, never be surprised that it is work, who answers, right? There's a grind. So if that grind got you to number one, got you to the top, got you to success, the success point here, if you will, when's the last time you did that? Do you believe that you'll have to do that again to reach the next level of success? So if this is the success point and we're going to reach this next level up here, I mean, do we really think we're going to get from here to there without these three things? And here's the thing. Successful people fool themselves into thinking they won't need to do these things anymore, and that's where they get in trouble. And it introduces the concept of what I call the number one mistake in success. And here it is, this path, if you look at it now, I don't know how winding and crazy your path has been to get where you are today, right? You could be all over the place, right? You might have had alleyways this way, that way. It could have been a hot mess. I don't know how it was for you, but here's what I do know. This process, this space, this thing right here, I know what this is. Here's what it was. It was a struggle for you. It might still be a struggle. Before you made your first success, to get there, there was a willingness to struggle, right? There was a willingness for it. If you built your first business as you were building your first business, that first year or two is a grind, but you knew it was a grind. And you kind of. It's not. Maybe you didn't welcome the struggle, but you honored it. You knew it was necessary. You knew the struggle was necessary for you to reach achievement. You just knew it. There's something about it. It's like when you first start to. You start a new diet plan or a new workout plan. You know, you go in the gym, the first couple times, it hurts, it's uncomfortable. You're like, this is necessary for. For me to break through. You run out of treadmill. The first time, it's a struggle. And you're like, but you know, I'm going to keep doing it because the struggle is necessary for me to reach that next level. And you knew that. You knew it. And here's the number one mistake that people make. They became successful at something in their first career, in their first go around in their first attempt, and they want to now go to the next level of success. But now because they became successful, their willingness for struggle has diminished. Isn't that interesting? The number one mistake people make in going to the next level of success is thinking they won't have to struggle as much as they struggled the first time they achieved any success. It's the CEO goes to start a new business and says, well, I've already started a business. I know exactly how to do this, and fools himself or herself into thinking the second business won't require as much work. Time, energy, effort, blood, sweat, toil. We fool ourselves. As we become more comfortable in life, we tend to diminish the amount of willingness that we have for struggle. Right? Our willingness to persevere over hours of learning, our willingness to persevere over hours of effort goes down. Now, will it be easier? Yes, in some ways. You might have more energy this next time. You might have more resources the next time. You might have a bigger team to delegate to next time. It might be something you're starting that's related to what you've done before. So you're running the same route, the same pattern, the same methodology, the same processes. So it will be easier in that way. But let's not fool ourselves. The time, the focus, the energy, and that desire, that study of the new team, the new people, the new processes, the ability to just work it and work it and work it. That all still has to be there. I am predicting your next level of success. I've done this predictably for clients for 15 years. I can tell your next level of success because it is based on your current willingness to struggle. If you are unwilling to struggle, you are unwilling to do what it takes to grow. If you just hate struggle, you hate inconvenience, you're going to plateau. You know, the greatest athletes of the world, their plateau happens when their willingness for struggle goes down. They're like, hey, I'm the champion. I got that gold medal. I don't have to practice as much as people. The NFL player who says, hey, look, I've caught 100 touchdowns here. I'm good. And so they go lax. And that is a Place you need to be aware of. Where are you a place of lax in your life right now in terms of how you're thinking about your next level of career? Where have you gone a little bit soft in and lax in your personal development? How about your relationships? We take our eye off the growth of our marriages and our relationships with the people that we love. And all of a sudden, four or five years go by and they tell us, I'm unhappy. And we're like, what? Because remember how much effort you were willing to put in when you first started dating them, right? You first started dating your honey, your baby, your sweetheart, your partner, and it was like flowers, it was cards, it was amazing date nights, you know, it was so cool, right? You really thought about it. You were thoughtful about them because you knew you had to put in the time to get the great relationship. But now you got the great relationship, years later, you've been married for 10 years, 20 years, 30 years, 40 years, and you think, eh, I'm good. Don't have to take the time to do that anymore. And that's where relationships fall apart. The attention and the affection and the adoration and the acknowledgement aren't there anymore. And now the relationship falls apart. The first time you're willing to do those things, but your willingness the second time, or as that became more successful, went away. About your health, you know, if you ever got yourself into optimum health before, boy, once you got there, man, either you stayed there or you fell off the wagon because you said, ah, you know, I know I can get myself into shape now. I'll do it next week. And next week came next month, and next month became 30 pounds. You know what I'm talking about? You didn't think you had to work for it anymore. Let's not fool ourselves. When we talk about success acceleration, we must begin with a foundation that says, do I know what I want?
Am I willing to learn?
Am I willing to grind it out and fight it out overall, am I willing to struggle to go to the next level? I'm a guy. I'm going to challenge you with the fundamentals. I'm going to question whether or not you're doing them. I'm going to push you to do better at this because if we're going to accelerate your success, you need someone championing you on. I'm a champion. I'll never be disrespectful, but. But I'll be happily confrontative. I got no problem calling people out on their stuff because I need people to tell Me that too sometimes. Brendan, you know what? You used to be more motivational. Huh? Let me look at that. I better get on it. I have no problem looking at myself and I hope that you will look at yourself through that lens of am I willing to struggle?
