Foreign. Hey, my friends, it's Brendon Burchard. And welcome to a special episode of the Brendon show where we jump into some of the best of my motivational quotes. Hey, my friends, it's Brendan. And welcome to your weekly roundup of my 60 second motivational quotes that I post out on Instagram and other social media. We thought we'd compile them here for you to give you some motivational fire for your week. So let's go. The reason we don't like ourselves is often if it's not congruence or connection or contribution or some elements of those, it's definitely this one. Consistency, right? Consistency is the basic foundation of all of those things. Cause if you're not consistently congruent, if you're not consistently connecting with other people and treating them well, and if you're not consistently contributing each day, then of course you're not gonna be happy with yourself. It's that lack of daily consistency that ends up hurting our own self esteem. Because, listen, everyone can show up good or happy or joyous or nice or kind or once in a while. But those who do it on a consistent basis because they demand that of themselves every day, those are the ones who achieve true confidence, true self esteem, a true life of greatness. Victory is not a result of avoidance. I love this one. Because the reality is we have two choices. When confronted with challenges, with difficulties, with struggles, with conflicts in our life, we can shrink, we can go, you know, hide, we can avoid, we can prevent ourselves from really embracing or engaging or dealing with so easy. Because you know what? That's the route of fear. But you know what? No one reaches victory by marching every step in fear. At some point, it requires courageous confrontation, courageous conversations, courageous expressions, sharing, being vulnerable, taking that step forward. When you raise your hands up in victory, it only happens because you know, you did the difficult things to actually get there. It's the easiest thing to just keep judging other people, to be like, oh, she said it wrong, she does it wrong. He's an idiot. They don't know what they're talking about. They're not doing it right. Oh my gosh, look at them. But you know what? That's just coming from that weak part of you, that ego part of you that needs to be better than that, needs to be right. Your job as a leader is to start looking at people and looking and listening for their potential, to recognize who they are and what they are capable of, even when they're not doing right, even when they're not at your speed or up to your competency level to give them that grace that says, I see within you something, something that you might not even know is there. Something that is magical, something that is capable. I believe in you. Hey, your day is coming. Your time is near. Your dreams are closer than you know. Keep hope. One day at a time, my friend. I know it's easy to get discouraged, to focus on the negative, to compare yourself to other people, to feel like you're doing all these things that it's not turning out just yet. So you got to have that mentality, your day is coming, your time is near. Your dreams are closer than you know. When you have a bad day, keep hope. When you feel like you took a step backwards, realize one day at a time that no matter what is happening in your life, the fact that you woke up, that you had this breath, that you have the intention to move forward, that alone is moving you forward. Keep perspective. Next week going to be better. Next month going to be better. Those dreams, they're coming your way. Keep working towards them. Keep faith, my friends. Keep hope. One day at a time, my friend. And then one day I decided that hurry and stress were no longer going to be part of my life. You know, people ask me, well, Brendon, what is your big goal? What's your resolution? What is the thing you want to make sure that happens for you in 2019? I say, well, one of the things that is always part of my life now is that I want to be able to experience life with its full positive range of joy and presence and connection where I bring intention into each day, where I'm mindful of how I feel and I notice when I get hurried or stressed or upset about stupid things, about things that are not going to matter four years from now, two years from now, one month from now, or even three hours from now. So much of stress is self manufactured in our own mind. And once we become masters of our mind, we become masters of our world. Listen, your level of contribution in the world, your level of excellence, your level of relationships and who you show up as are all based on the ambitions you have in life. But you know, so many people don't have the extraordinary quality of life that they deserve because they, they've never given themselves permission to want more, to dream for more, to see a bigger vision for themselves beyond their current circumstances or their high school years or their college years or their youth. You have to see something bigger for yourself and allow yourself to desire it without guilt because you can have more in your life without taking away from other people. You can have more in your life in such a way that you can contribute more to other people. You can experience more. You can have more guilt free. But first you must give yourselves permission to desire something great again. Okay, my friends, I hope you enjoyed this motivational session here on the Brendon Show.
